I don't remember in the Bible that they had speakers, mics, or celebrating man made holidays like Martin Luther King weekend. Can you show me some scripture where that is allowed?

Oh, so you're gonna tell me in your unbiblical Baptist church that y'all don't sing or use mics or have programs? Yeah, try to lie your way outta that, because I know better. Also, if you would've watched it all, you would know that it's not a Martin Luther King celebration. It's a sing out! I guess you're too remedial and a liar to know the difference.

@@kac0404 I don't remember this being the style of music within the first century church either. They sung hymns and spiritual songs that we can find in the OT. Also this style of singing... see I could poke at so many things that the first century Christians don't do that you make exceptions for and you aren't being consistent. Calling me a liar and yet proving my point in the very next paragraph lol Kac man you are a joke. Such hypocrisy. Tell you what, until you can hold your own church to your standard, don't bother me with your hypocrisy lol crazy smh. I don't believe its wrong to have instruments to praise God because we see the saints of old have them like David, unless you believe David wasn't saved.

@kac0404 I'm sorry brother, I did not mean that Luke reference in that way. Either KZread or DTBM deleted the reply that I sent prior to that, my repost of it, and then deleted the apology I posted over there after I saw your reply. I guess if this one stays up, then we’ll know it was DTBM that deleted my posts. First off, I believe all sins are forgiven through Christ’s death and resurrection, including those committed against the 4th commandment. I do not believe that if you have faith in Christ but haven’t observed the Sabbath that you will be “disqualified” from salvation somehow. I also believe that “ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law,” and that if you added observing the Sabbath to your practice of faith that it would increase the potential to manifest the fruits of the Spirit in your life because that’s part of the reason we were given God’s laws in the first place. And in response to your response: Paul was referring to the commandments of men that proceeded from the laws of God that the Jews still keep today (the Talmud). He’s saying the “Jerusalem above is free” (the one in heaven) because it keeps the laws of God, not the commandments of men that distorted and negated the laws of God (Matthew 15:4-9). Paul even says that he is a slave to Christ (1 Corinthians 7:22). Now back to my original message: I prayed about our conversation this weekend and the Lord sent me to Hebrews 4. If you read through this chapter you will find the instruction for keeping Sabbath in the NT. But there's a translation error much like the others I mentioned before, because in verse 9 the word translated "rest" again in the NKJV is actually the Greek word "sabbatismos" (G4520: Thayer’s definition- 1. A keeping sabbath. 2. The blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians). So in other translations you get: (NIV) There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God. (NLT) So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. (ESV) So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (NKJV) There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. (NASB) Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (ASV) There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God. Also vs 4 talks about God resting on the 7th day, vs 7 “AGAIN He designates a certain day, vs 8 “if Jesus had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day”, vs 10 “for he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works AS GOD DID FROM HIS.” When did God rest? Genesis 2:2. Does God ever change? Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8, John 10:30. What does God say about the Sabbath? Exodus 31:16-17. Then I remembered Luke 15:8-10 because of your mention that “9 of the 10 commandments can be found in the NT”, which now I think might be referring to the commandments and your comment led us to the 10th coin! I probably should have been more clear about that thought to begin with…sorry again.

Can one determine what the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT is in ACTS 2 :38 by this verse alone ? If the spirit fell on the gentiles before they were immersed in water for the forgiveness of their past...how and why was the gift given to the Gentiles? Since it was a PROMISE in Acts 2,:39 to those who were there, THEIR children, Gentiles (those who are/were far off) and as many as God will call to himself by/thru the gospel. Can we see in other scriptures how and when this promise was fulfilled?

@@willietodd3864 Read it again, Willie. When Peter said; “You shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”, he was saying that they would receive the “promise of eternal life”. “The gift of the Holy Spirit”, IS the “promise”. Acts 2, verse 39, TELLS us that the “gift” IS the “promise”. Listen to both verses; Remember, Peter is telling them how to be saved, and so he says; “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the promise is for you, and your children, and all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.” Indeed, the promise is for everyone who will repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins. They will all receive the promise. The promise is for you, and it’s for your children, and it’s for all who are far off, and it’s for as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.
