57 Kg is stacked at the Olympics- Abakarov, Uguev, Higuchi, Spencer Lee.. Micic was the surprise Gold medallist at the last Worlds.
I love the 2-on-1, best set-up in wrestling. All those coaches who never wrestled on the senior level who say "put your head in the pocket with a 2-on-1" (cough Iron faith) should watch this video closer. Thanks for sharing.

He’s a good coach too man. Wrestled D1, has some solid coaching skills. There’s more than 1 way to skin a cat… head position, no head position, there’s options with a 2on1. There’s a little bit of preference involved too…

You gotta beat em up To set em up Sidakov applies relentless pressure with collar ties followed by snap downs. Also he uses over ties collar ties the same. He works for under hook to set up his moves At start of second period he does one collar tie and snap down, then immediately in a close proximity he fakes reaching for collar tie, but instead shoots a successful leg attack for a four point move. With a total of five point lead, Sidakov is more cautious, running out clock, with a more tight control of opponent. Control of opponent’s wrist and either a collar tie or an under hook. In my younger days, I would never score any points at either of these two great wrestlers Thank you for showing great wrestling matches

Makhmedov is a fantastic wrestler, he would be able to get a takedown on me before I could blink
@davidhughes478510 күн бұрын
Yes he is very fast. He captured Sidakov’s leg twice, scoring once with a push out for on point. His second capture of Sidakov’s ankle was a stalemate. Sidakov has excellent flexibility, seems like that position with twisted knee would injure me…that is the d have to surrender the takedown Sidakov is the best in world, in a packed weight class That underhook throw or was it an Iranian lat drop? That was a great throw I don’t like rules on multiple tilts with leg locks. But rules are rules And Sidakov has adapted to that rule really well

Sidakov applies relentless pressure on opponent. He is great shape, and his constant pressure tires his opponent His pressure is not just to wear down opponent, but it also helps create openings or setups for his own attacks Sidakov is very capable defending single leg attacks, often resulting in stalemate or scramble score by either wrestler, but if there is a score during scramble, Sidakov has as good or better chance of scoring. I still think, without counting, that most leg attacks by opponent result in stalemate. Scrambles with no score, (stalemate) still works in Sidakov’s favor, because he is usually in better shape than his opponent No standing around, resting against Sidakov, the onslaught is continuous until opponent becomes more tired, and eventually one of Sidakov’s setups results in a Sidakov score. I would never, in my younger days, be able to last more than one minute against either of these two great wrestlers Thank you for showing top notch wrestling videos

I don't know what I could comment about vito's dominance that wouldn't be obvious. He is more technical than everyone and faster than everyone and deceptively strong. healthy vito is the best in the world at 61kg for a reason. Hope he goes up to 65 for the next olympic cycle. 57 is too small for him.
