    I could barely get 315 to my chest with the green elbow wraps. I've only used them maybe 4 times in the year and a half I've had em. I don't like them honestly, whenever I use them I feel like my pecs are going to tear. I am a very tricep and shoulder dominant bencher and admittedly don't do much pec work. Makes me wonder if I spent more time getting used to them if it'd help bring my pecs up. Think my bench is bottlenecked by weak pecs, and the wraps damn near take my tris out of the movement allowing me to get some additional heavy work in that my tris would be too fatigued to handle. Trying to figure out how to explain my thoughts. Like I can bench 405 for easy reps, but mainly relying on my tri and shoulder strength to do so. Once those muscles are fatigued, the only thing I can do is lower the weight and do more volume, but it's not heavy enough to create any sort of notable adaptations in my pecs. It's like the wraps change what muscles are primarily getting stimulated for me. I'm going to give them another shot today now that I see how to properly put them on, I'll update later!

    Ya I get what’s your saying, I think it’s either your chest dominant or shoulder / tricep dominant…. I’m chest dominant so I use more of my chest for bench but I can’t bench heavy anymore due to tennis elbow from armwrestling… I do like the advanced wraps better for that reason they are more comfortable and not as stiff. Have you tried maxing out with them? That’s the only way I would use the green wraps. If not they are too stiff.

    @@HeavyDuty608 oh god no I'd absolutely get hurt if I maxed with those haha I may consider getting the advanced wraps, I don't think those were even a thing when I first bought mine. Would be nice to have a little extra support, but not so much it's uncomfortable or throws off my technique, same reason most people don't prefer to train in super tight knee sleeves all the time. Wish I had some advice for your tennis elbow, mine comes and goes, haven't noticed any patterns of what flares it up or fixes it. Will say that deep tissue massaging elbow flexors and extensors, as well as the medial head of tricep, and stretching lat and rear delt seem to help A LOT with "warming it up" quicker on the days my elbows are feeling problematic

    @@HeavyDuty608 had my best bench session so far this year today using the wraps. Actually found it more comfortable and effective to start the wrap around the elbow. Last week I hit 315 for 10, 8, 5, and 3 reps. Today I hit 315 for like 8x10-15, it was ridiculous. Glad I gave them another shot, didn't really feel the pec tightness/tension that I remember from before. Also, elbows feel noticeably less beat up. Still re-gaining strength I lost from cutting, but I can definitely see myself hitting 405 for 10-12 in the near future and finally breaking the 500 barrier. Funny because I hit 365 natty, and 2 months into my first cycle I paused 405x2. That was almost 5yrs ago, all my other lifts, muscles, and body comp have improved EXPONENTIALLY over the years, but bench has barely moved at all since that first cycle lmao so it's about time bench started feeling fun and good again lmao

    @@bloatmax4420 nice bro, those are some good numbers. The wraps definitely help but yeah they get annoying . I try to use them only on my lats 2 sets. Keep it up bro.

    good reps although a word of advice try to keep those elbows locked so you dont swing your arms up and down which leads to the triceps not being as isolated

    Anyone wanting to get the wraps: Advanced wraps - more comfortable, less resistance, easier to put on. Heavy Duty wraps - harder to put on, very stiff, more resistance, will help push more weight than the advanced.

    ⁠no ur just not doing a full rep, go all the way down and all the way up and then see how many reps u can do, its the same idea as pullups bro, if u dont go all the way down its alot easier

    I know I’m not doing full range of motion reps lol… my damn elbows don’t bend that far anymore from armwrestling. I probably have tendinitis in my right elbow… the weight is light for me right now but my elbows can’t stand the tendon pain. That’s why I threw on the elbow wraps lol… everyone always assumes something dumb lol

    I’m just interested in knowing how much elbow wraps add to your bench? What is your pr with bare elbows? Do you have any vids of it? Not hating at all just interested as I see a lot of people using them these days

    They probably add 20-35lbs more on a max bench… if you bench 225x5 . You will be able to bench it for 10 reps easily.. Just look at my channel and videos I have too many but haven’t really benched in a while.

    I know somebody else said this in the comment section but when i use the neon elbow wraps they like really stab my bicep, also i dont know if theyre supposed to , but they like lock out my arm and make me feel super stiff compared to other elbow wraps ive used

    That’s what they’re meant for, idk how much weight you are pushing but I don’t recommend them for anything under 275lbs… only cause the force they have need a lot of weight to make them work like they should… if you get what I’m saying… with the advance you can use it for lighter weight but again probably nothing under 225..
