    Hi Steve I've just started doing tai chi really good for nervous system and good exercise. And your right when you say it's nice to find others in the same situation. When I found the steady coach etc I think it was then I started to recover learn accept and change my mindset.

    Hey Steve and Dee! I couldn't make the live video, but just watched the video! First off, your editing and Dee's tea break was so funny! 😂 Thanks for the laugh! Secondly, I so appreciate your discussion on all this. It is not any better here in America with all the doctors and finding people who really understand this stuff (except for the Steady Coach and Dr. Beh online). I actually went to a vestibular physio and she was the most knowledgeable about pppd, etc. but also doctors dont diagnosis you with mdds unless you were on a cruise here. I believe my symptoms are most in line with mdds (exactly like you Dee). I feel the worst just sitting on a chair. Its a constant movement forward and back. It has gotten more subtle for me recently but its still there. Exercise and walking has helped and im trying to stay away from any passive movement (like rocking chairs, treadmills, and yes even driving for right now). All of those things intensified my symptoms AFTER using them, but during i feel totally normal. So far my walking has felt much more stable since stopping those things. Working out feels almost normal again. Its just sitting still that i still feel the movement subtly. The only other symptom ive been getting is head pressure and eye floaters...but those are more sporadically. Im not sure if i have vestibular migraine going on as well. Anyway, thanks again you guys!

    Thanks for the discussion folks. I've had PPPD now for a while, previously BPPV. I just take it one day at a time and hopefully I'll be free from this one day. There is very little help out there, apart from a physiotherapist I have been seeing in relation to PPPD. Take care and get well

    Thank you for the update. Glad to hear you’re able to keep going with life even with the sensations. How much do you have sensations when you walk? Do you feel like you’re walking on a moving boat or trampoline? Did sertraline take away dizziness? How dizzy are you during the day as you work? Are you able to work 8 hours and do you mostly sit while working

  • @steveslong-covidjourneyPPPD
    @steveslong-covidjourneyPPPD9 ай бұрын

    Hi, lots of questions there! I like it, I think the sensations are always there (maybe for everyone) it’s how you notice them / take affect of them. Most of the time when walking in ok, with a bit of brain fog, there are mini flare ups here and there! Used to have the moving boat but lately have steadied the ship. Sertraline has helped massively but I’ve needed to put in the work too! Fight it and acceptance at the same time Currently I work 8 hours I sit with a computer but I move around a lot too, lifting etc Breathing techniques help massively too

    Yes derealisation was the worst still get it here and there I look around and the sky seems fake / dreamy. I get migraines too, when that happens I take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibroprofen together to try to knock it on its head
