    Interested but looks like they will burn a ton of more fuel on average use compared traditional setups to achieve larger flames

    We’re installing a propane fire pit on top of this big circle paver patio we built with some seat walls. It’s awesome but I got a little overzealous and offered to make all the connections(burner table, air mixer, 12ft flex line etc) BUT in the kitchen we ordered there is also the key valve AND a push button ignition face plate. I’ve never connected all that and apparently my company doesn’t touch even propane gas connections. We make them pay a plumber to do that part. So basically I over promised. Now I’m gonna do the connections because I sold it that way. I don’t know. Any idea on how to connect the ignition plate? Is there supposed to be another smaller gas line involved BESIDES the long flex line?THANK YOU 🙏

    Are these videos showcasing propane with high pressure, or natural gas? Trying to figure out this detail

  • @Montanafirepits

    You will get similar results with either natural gas or propane. Pressure for both is low, at about 7" water column for NG, and 11" water column for LP. If you're able to run a natural gas line, that's ideal. If not, propane is great. Here are more details: montanafirepits.com/learn/#fuel

    We have a rectangular fire pit with a burner set similar to what u offer. We don’t cover it but now the gas does not flow & can’t light. Could water have filled up the piping? If so how do u blow that out? None of the videos I’ve watched talk about this? Are we missing something?

  • @Montanafirepits
    @Montanafirepits3 ай бұрын

    If enough water accumulates in your gas line, it can keep the gas from flowing. You may need to use an air compressor on the end of the line opposite of the burner to push the water through. It might be best to consult a plumber.

    I'm trying to extend the wires. I ran 12guage wire ( because that's all I had on hand) Under the fire pit in pvc pipe I Spliced the ignition wire with the 12 guage wires. I have two problems 1, when I connect the clips to ignition box I don't hear the clicking sound 2 I don't see a current or spark on the prongs But I do feel a low current if I touch the ring? There's current but no spark?

    Hmm. I was interested in brass burners until I watched this. It is more BTUs but uses less gas? Also, the issue with stainless steel is there are too many holes? Well then why would they not just drill fewer holes? The holes in the brass burners are much bigger. So, you get larger flames, but use much more gas, This video is very misleading except about the longevity of brass burners. Also many people's gas supply is not going to be able to support the BTU's of these burners so their end results will be disappointing.

    The 2nd stage regulator is great when you have a longer hose. We used these 2 regulators: High pressure regulator used: KLI International model 9000 - 10PSI 2nd Stage Regulator Used (the green one): MEGR-1252D-CFF

    sold on your fire pits, but we are needing it for our deck that is covered with a huge wood pergola. the distance from the deck to the pergola is 7 1/2 feet. would you recommend a smaller Montana firepit for our area or would we actually have to go with a stainless steel burner that doesn't put out as big of a flame? appreciate your response!

  • @Montanafirepits
    @Montanafirepits Жыл бұрын

    It is recommend that you have 10 feet clearance from fire to combustible materials above. That's pretty much the case for any fire.

    I had some chimney guys replace the guts of my inside fireplace and they would not place the fire glass over the burners only some special sand. I wanted the look like you did for your outside pit. Do different gas lines require a different setup?

  • @dustup2249

    the firewood pieces look too artificial. I wonder if there's a manufacturer out there that can simulate authentic black charred log pieces with gray ash streaks to actually reflect a real campfire effect. Close but no cigar.
