  I agree with chipped's point about the 4 player Super Mario Bros. I tried to play that with my wife and kid and just got frustrated. Gimpy's counter point was about 3d world which I was okay with the multiplayer on because there was a lot more freedom of movement.

  I truly think that CO-OP platformers like New Super Mario Bros series, can be done well, extra lives are easy to come across and the bubble popping makes going through the levels not that big of a deal I Found. I can see frustration settling in on auto levels, but my family and I don't take it too seriously and laugh it off. - Gimpy

  The main thing holding me back with VR is the amount of space that I feel I need to dedicate to it and the number of games. I don't want to buy a piece of equipment just to play one or two games. It's the same reason I don't buy a new console just for the exclusive game. Thank you for discussing this topic in depth and I would love to hear more about it as the technology advances! Side note: Chip is basically talking about IRL streaming. People watch other people travel and then donate to make them do things or go to new places.

  COD4 stealth mission was legendary and will never be forgotten. Nothing more badass than being a Ghillied suit ninja with a silenced rifle. I'm replaying that soon!

  What game does chip ACTUALLY enjoy? I think we need a list. I agree with some of the quality of life changes for D2 but Gimpy made a good point. The remaster is for the D2 fans, not new gamers. The beta gave me time to remember why I enjoy that game. Finding a set item or unique that you want is so hype and nearly unmatched in other games!

  While the thought did hit me, I don't think so at least on a schedule, I may stream it just for the homies in private discord sessions. Streaming it takes me longer to beat the game, and I cant stream everyday with the kids' schedules.

  Every video game is created with multiple forms of art. Character design (physical and behavioral), level/world design, soundtrack, video/audio cut scenes, and way more. I am taking a hard stance and saying that Chipped is way off on this opinion. Chipped is a 3D model designer and that is inarguably art in my mind. If he puts that 3D model into a video game it's still art. At the end if the day video games are a collaborative piece of art at its base.

  My ultimate crossover would be something silly and fun like Masterchief x Earthworm Jim. Masterchief has to travel to a distant planet to retrieve an artifact that could destroy the Flood at it's core. He has a contact on this planet named Jim.....

  Having kids makes me appreciate my time to game more, so I find myself more invested even in a slow story, just because of the fact that I am sitting down playing a game.

  Huge gripe of the remastered Halo: Covering the entire screen when one player accesses the game options during a multi-player split screen match. Could they seriously not give everyone an individual screen for their options?!?!?!?

  Only a small fraction of games have the "Settings" in individual windows' I assume part of it is scaling, and the resources to make that are just never put towards it' I agree it is annoying' The Series X/S having controller profiles will alleviate this though.

  I love the intimacy of this studio. A face to face conversation just feels right for this podcast. This ep has me wishing for a new MMO that can hold a candle to Lineage 2. I would retire early with Chip and wither away happily. Keep up the good work guys!

  Through others I have come to appreciate what MMO's bring to the table, im just not wired the way required to have full enjoyment of it. The stories that come out of it are always great. Thanks for the kind words' We hope to do more in person for season 2

  I was addicted to Slay The Spire like smack. I got lost in a Slay hole for months. Thank you for that Gimpy! The game definitely has optimal builds but I always love trying to succeed with off shoot decks.

  Chipped Monk referenced SSX Tricky without going into it. That was a wonderfully made game with some killer hip-hop tracks, same with Dave Mirra's BMX Freestyle 2. The marketing highlighted the music and the gameplay solidified both as classics in my mind. They didn't specifically revolve around hip-hip like Def Jam, but the musical influence left a mark that will never fade.

  Manhunt instantly comes to mind when thinking of unique horror games. I rented it from Hollywood Video for the PS2 in the 2000s and will never forget it. It was basically a snuff game. That could be worth a revisit.... Have you guys ever played it?
