    No they didn't clean anything. They stole gem stones off the wall. Tarnishing what they found and removing important facial features. Goes to show that it's not their history . If it was they would not have stole. But they saw black people on the walls and said , who cares, they'd never see it. And we will never make this place as popular as the olmec heads.

    Such a beautiful channel, it is frustrating how certain channels of no substance blow up meanwhile you put your heart and soul into your work and didn't. I always recommend your channel to my friends and family. My mom and I really enjoy your show. Your dedication does not go unnoticed by your true followers. I hope that one day you get that recognition you have worked so hard for. It truly does feel like stepping into a different universe when watching your videos. It has helped me connect so much to my culture. You have kept the stories of our ancestors alive, what is greater than that? I have received one of your books as a birthday gift and I have to say it was great to have a physical copy of some of the stories you have here on the channel. Please never delete your channel it means so much to us, and who knows, maybe when you least expect it a bunch of new people will subscribe. Besides what you have done is still a great accomplishment 💕I wish you the best

    I don't like this term and lets not use this term anymore. It dismisses native american culture and oppresses native people to be treated as less. The system was and is bad because only encourages one to be more european.

  • @mexicounexplained

    The term is not going anywhere. And what's wrong with being European?

  • @juanayala2640
    @juanayala26406 күн бұрын

    The oppressors made indigenous people suffered. Europeans were on top of their system whereas the indigenous are in the bottom. It creates self-hatred for indigenous people because being european is supposely better.

  • @juanayala2640

    @@mexicounexplained Nothing wrong I just think Indigenous were oppressed to the point that there is indigenous self-hatred. That one has to be europeans to be acceptable and that indigenous racism still exists

    I'm an artist, cartoonist, self published two comic books, one on my channel. I'm Irish and Polish from Chicago, my dad's from San Antonio. I do all kinds of art, Native American portraits, Jewish people praying, cartoons, illustrated lyrics, I broke my ankle before houston's comicpalooza in 2022, and made $150 for 2 days, best ever, the hotel was $400. So. I don't make money, but love kids coming in a staring at my posters and prints I print myself, at my shop at the flea market, so I'm not going to stop doing art, never. My monthly tshirt money went to a cool luchador in Mexican colors and a stone snake in the center, hecho en Mexico by his family. I always support other artists, because it always takes more effort than the end result looks like. You should stick around. I just found you, and want some shirts. Or slow down to an episode a week. Viva San Patricios Viva Mexico 🇮🇪❤️🇲🇽❤️🇺🇸

    I love your channel so I’m sorry to see it didn’t work out. I wasn’t a marketing major but for what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re the problem. As someone else mentioned; Mexican folk history is a small niche (and there’s a glut of history channels on this site as is, though yes, you’ve been here much longer than most). On top of this- you’re doing this in English. So your audience is basically limited to chicanos and other diaspora, English-speaking Mexicans, the odd gringo that fancies himself a hispanicist (I’ve always been fascinated by Anglos like William Prescott, Leonard Irving etc, who develop an obsession with all things Latin America), along with maybe those whimsical older white ladies that like southwestern motifs and collect Mexican blankets and crafts (had one as a professor, Margaret Chowning), I digress. You were fighting an uphill battle to begin with and to be very frank, your target demo isn’t the highest IQ (I’m a believer in heritable intelligence) nor do they have a culture like, say, Jews; who whatever you think of them, value erudition. I’m an ethnic Mexican who went to a top school and none of my Mexican/Mexican American acquaintances are remotely interested in history, literature etc., regardless of class. Zero curiosity for where they came from. I suppose supreme indifference is another stereotype of the Mexican, and it’s usually proved true. I feel frustration on your behalf and I’d like you to know that those of us able to recognize this as a labor of love, do exist.

    Thank you for your thoughtful comments. A big chunk of my audience was non-Mexican (or non-Chicano, or whatever label is appropriate). I agree with everything you wrote. They always tell you to "find a niche" when creating content, and I did, but it wasn't good enough. It's hard for me not to feel like a failure, but I really did give it my all, and that's all I can give. Thanks again.
