How cruel. Did we not learn anything from what happened to the last wolves on the Island? Seems more of a tourist thing than scientific study. Lets release wolves on an island to inbred and die out again. Or make them swim 15 miles to leave.
This will be so wonderful after the wolves are done killing off the moose then the DNR will have to have a hunting season on the wolves again! All of this is done for the DNR to make money/generate DNR income, because they will sell wolf tags like they did down in Wisconsin.
Are you really an idiot or do you just play one on KZread?
David Mech studied the wolves here decades ago. So good they are back!
Great Job Marshall! Haven't seen you in over 40 years, but thanks for your service to our country and for protecting our precious resources! Cliff
WHERE THE FUCK IS PARACHUTE? I AM DISSAPOINTED AT YOU GUYS! SHAME ON YOU!
Incredible job by all involved!
Guerilla Wolfare.
Bloody mankind playing God again , manipulating nature and its inhabitants against their will :(((
I thought a wilderness preserve didn’t get interference from man. Stupid move park service. Let’s leave Mother Nature alone.
You should look up the history of research on the island as well as the human impacts which led to the near local extinction of these wolves. Due to climate change and a disease introduced by humans, only two inbred wolves remained on the island before re-introduction
Wilderness preserves have often seen interference from man to help restore what was once naturally occurring and with great success.
the ecosystem would have died if they didn't
@@victoriasadowski377 Yeah look it up. It seems cruel to do that to wolves. How many died from starvation in the past. Or dead because of in breeding. It's not a sustainable population.
God bless you guys, keep up the amazing work, we have your back all the way.
I really expected them to have parachutes when I read the headline "Wolfs are being airdropped", freakin fake news stealing my clicks
only one??
no, more: www.iflscience.com/plants-and-animals/canadian-wolves-are-being-airdropped-into-michigan-for-a-special-mission
Keep it up the great work yall. Been keeping a eye on this for a while now myself. Can not wait to go to Isle Royale myself soon and hear these or possibly see one of these vital and majestic wolfs roam the island.
They said that going to be impossible to see one.
@@gabotepapote1178 Its extremely to catch glimpses of wolves. Up in Northern Wisconsin ive only heard and found scat, hair, and footprints. I read old biologist reports and they go many days without sightings. Its just awesome they are making a comeback
I’ve been following this for the past year and I think it’s astounding!! Question though, have the wolves on the island been named??
Not that I know of ...
Knowing the DNR, they will probably sell the rights to people to name them.. very similar to the name a star commercial you here at around Christmas where people can pay money to name a star after someone!
