Dave was right though. The movie was mainly about a non band people in a relationship who just happen to live in 90's Seattle with Matt Dillon's band character shoehorned in a D level sub plot for comic relief. The movie can be recut with all the "grunge" stuff edited out and it'd still be an hour and 25 minutes long.

kurt is a very pretentious 'tortured artist' who only seperated himself from the seattle scene. How fondly Alice/Pearl Jam/Soundgarden are looked back on as a crew (playing live shows together interviewing together etc) and how distanced Nirvana is most likely because kurt couldnt get over himself... bit of a shame
After the scene had died down I remember visiting Seattle for the first time and it was different from what the Singles movie portrayed. I did however meet the Spoonman. That was cool.
She is the spitting image of her father.

In 1990 music just sucked. Then Grunge debuted in 91 and generation x lived the dream. I so miss those days. Alice In Chains forever!

If you call that dancing then sure I guess. I see a series of postulated spasms. This scene as a whole has as much life as a three week old carrion. I don't believe one single frame of any of the performances - all I see is actors trying to convince me of something.
