    Nice video as always! I do wonder tho, how do you get a second canvas underneath the navigator? If i try to put a new canvas beneath the navigator, it won't 'snap' underneath it. Or is that a sub-view that Kuro uses underneath their navigator?

    omgI love watching your videos so much Kuro. They are always too helpful for me. Thank you so much for creating such amazingly helpful videos 😊❤. If you don’t mind can I ask what crop tool you’re using to directly crop out the portion of your choice from the photos? I am having too much trouble from downloading the photos and then taking it to csp and then crop and paste on a new canvas. Your process looks much easier and faster so I really wanted to know ToT

Actually I am working on a new video which will partially cover this topic :) till then I am wishing you all the best for your art 🙇‍♂️

  • @kurohshiro
    @kurohshiro3 күн бұрын

    I am always making new layers when I don't want to ruin the progress I did on the layers beneath or when I want to lock them and work clean. So I can say how many I make since I am merching them in the process. I don't want to get overwhelmed by managing the amount and making my laptop suffer haha

    How do you think of which poses/perspective/angle is best to draw 😢😢 I struggle with that so much I can’t think of a Pose and my characters look boring

  • @kurohshiro
    @kurohshiro4 күн бұрын

    Hey! Here it was helpful to know that I had to draw a full body and since his expression is very recognisable I wanted to focus on the head. So generally it always depends on the character and their personality. Based on that I have a vague pose in mind and then I look for references or inspiring photos on Pinterest to see what and how I could draw it. Hope this helps a little bit :)

  • @chickenavoxiao
    @chickenavoxiao4 күн бұрын

    Omg I love this (●'◡'●) !!! I have a question, at 14:20, when you moved back to the bg, how did you temporarily hide all the boothill layers? Is there a way to organize them so that they can be set in one click? Or did you hide them one by one 😭 Im new to csp, Im sorry if it was a dumb question (T_T) Bye the way you're one of my fav artist ever and you inspire me to draw when I feel lazy !! I love your vids, keep it up !! (*/ω\*)

  • @kurohshiro
    @kurohshiro4 күн бұрын

    Aw thanks! There are 2 ways I know for hiding several layers at the same time. Here I used a layer group. So all the layers for the character (including lineart and colour) are placed in one layer group. By simply clicking on the eye symbol I can hide or show it. You can also place a group into a group :) another way is to drag and drop along the eye icon while holding the left mouse button (that's handy when you don't have them in group) but I used the first method. Hope that helps :3

    Hello! May I ask where you get your references? When I draw I try looking for references but sometimes they are so hyper specific that I can't find any.

  • @kurohshiro
    @kurohshiro4 күн бұрын

    Hey! I made a video about using references :) but generally speaking I am collecting a bunch of refs on Pinterest and when I need them I don't have to look for new ones. I just expand the reference by looking for specific parts like hands, other arm positions or things like that. And therefore I usually type that into the search bar. Like "male back" or "holding teacup"

    @@kurohshiro that sounds clever but honestly I don't like to do that bc it feels like I am lying to myself lol. I'll just finish it later probably and make jade or Sam art in the meantime. Btw i though they are redoing the contest for rerunning characters like in genshin but i guess it us not the case since no ruan mei contect (and i didn't finish an art of her in time as well and thought i could do it now but noticed there is no notification about her contest.

    What is that brush you used to first draw out out the belt buckle. It creates an outline on the outside of penstrokes even if they overlap. I've seen some artists use it for a while now but I don't know the name... 3:34 to 4:06

  • @kurohshiro
    @kurohshiro7 күн бұрын

    Hey. I mentioned that this is clip studios outline function. It's like a layer mode you can apply to any layer at any stage. So the brush I use doesn't matter since it works with all :) hope this helps.
