About me:
I direct flying robots in the film industry, and drive a big tired Kitfox on the side. I prefer dirt to pavement and enjoy making fun videos along the way.
About the plane:
My plane that I call the "FreedomFox" is a Series 5 Kitfox STI. The "STI" stands for STOL Inspired, which is Kitfox Aircraft's "short take-off and landing" specific wing and landing gear package. The FreedomFox is running a Rotax 915iS Turbocharged/Fuel Injected engine making about 141hp. I like to think of her as the little kitfox that could, as I am normally flying with very high horsepower supercubs and carbon cubs that set a very high bar to keep up with. The kitfox, when flown correctly, holds its own even against the big boys!

The indentation in the rock looks very similar to the ones in the rocks near me in California, which were apparently mortars used for crushing and grinding nuts and acorns.

Thats an old video but that connecting rod does not seem to show any deformation at the fracture. It most likely failed in fatigue due to a defect in the material or at the surface of the rod itself.

I haven't seen Hailey on too many videos recently, so I haven't seen her begin to fly. Her comment about flying up to solo and then quitting is not unexpected, but kind of sad. If she hasn't watched the series, I would really get her to watch Christy over on Taking Off and her recent parachute jump. Might be a good thing on overcoming fears. Anyway, interesting video.

I, of course, meant Quinn and the guys. 😊 at least you got to share it with the true love of your life. Side note: reach out to the local university. They should have a Native American studies professor who may be able to help you or at least figure a way to document that site. I fear this country is allowing our Native American heritage to disappear, and it saddens me. What began as a woke political movement to remove “offensive” names from popular society, I fear is having a secondary effect of erasing a very special and important people to this land.
