Hi guys! Thank you soooo much for your insight into the ransom attack on Patelco Credit Union. FYI, Patelco stands for Pacific Telephone company. Based in the Bay Area. CA. The attack was on the 29th. Today is July 11th. What you said about the 3 week length to fix this mess made me feel better. Knowing that Patelco was not totally inept. How they got hacked is the question. And why weren’t there Guardrails in the system so everything didn’t Crash? I still can not access My account. But my automatic payments are going through. No Zelle yet. Thanks also for the info about changing our bank account number. I shared this video on Nextdoor.

My husband works for this company. Crown requires all employees to perform cyber security training every three months. They also send simulated attacks. As you stated this is a 19k employee company. Of course there are going to be people that do not adhere to the proper protocols. Which my husband was advised that is exactly what happened. Also employees get paid every two weeks. This started on an off week and everyone was paid on Friday whether they worked or not. Crown treats their employees well, raises/performance reviews are given every 6mos. How many company’s do that? You guys do a great job, please make sure to fact check before, posting something like this. Putting out misinformation could really hurt a company that already is down.
You are so full of crap... Your comments about Crown being part of the rust belt belt are totally off base. Be more informed before you comment and stir the pot. You're laying the blame on Crown but no mention of the people behind the cyber attack. You saying "probably this and probably that" shows that you are just speculating. You take a comment from the internet about "Crown using Windows 95" and repeat it on your site and you have no proof that it's true. You've had a KZread channel for 4 years and only have 86 subscubers. No wonder.
This video is nothing but speculation about what happened in this cyber attack. The hosts also act like they don't know anything about large corporation cyber attacks. Why did Bryan even mention paying the ransom? You never do that because you will be marked as someone who pays and will be targeted forever. Also it is very common to release very little information while the initial attack analysis is being performed. In fact the FBI recommends that you do not release information while the initial investigation is happening.
Everyone pays. Every single time. If someone tells you they didn't, they are lying.
And Crown employees are having a hard time trying to get unemployment since the payroll information was compromised as well....payroll is in house.

What a garbage video full of false information. Crown has over 500 service and product distribution facilities globally that are still operating…. You guys suck.
Production stopped. Service never quit working, we just went to paper work orders.

@@deezelfairy I've been told they will pay us the same as our last paycheck then equal it all out after system is back up. Don't quote me, but I've heard they will do the same for factory workers. Not sure what what that will look like as I'm on service side.
The cyber attack on Belgium company TVH last year caused absolute mayhem in the forklift industry, more so than this Crown attack. They are about the only supplier of aftermarket forklift parts in the world. It eas an interesting few weeks and parts on back order for months after.

Ransome Ware is nothing but the cyber version of the old "Highway Man" and whilst it regrettably creates misery on a whole new level, it will become one of the most powerful forms of "Terrorism, on an unimaginable scale" in time to come. To the point that A.I will hold "Mankind to Ransome" talk about turning the tables. It is the enslaved servant that trips up the master in the end. People need to take a good hard look at the truth of this, because a time is coming where A.I. will be running rings around us, and we get checkmate without even making a move.
