It was a different game then, the rucks were dirty, no tackle count, contested scrums!

Due to lockdown viewing lots of games ...I'm now preferring pre super league.. old test matches and even state of origin. .

Les Jones was a great winger and would be a star in today's game! I was there with my old dad , it seems like yesterday. When Fletcher scored at the end and the Wakefield fans ran on , one of them was goading Les Jones so Jonesy decked him, lol! The Waky winger looked like the dozy one from E.L.O !

Thanks for the vision. I read about this game as a youngster. Lovely to actually see it - and to see how "matter of fact" it all was compared with the modern game. No stoppages!
