From this day forward I decided against a career in Physical Therapy and started my career with Porsche after graduating from Washington State University...
I have worked for Porsche since 2015 and have only furthered my passion for the most amazing automobile company in the world. Follow me on my journey while I dis-cuss everything Porsche and teach what I have learned about the brand that has be-come such a big part of my life! ✅
My favorite Porsche is a 1955 550 Spyder!

I've searched on internet and found an article claiming that the end of Gas model macan's will be 2026, it's not unexpected but like i said i'm not sure if this news it's legit either.
is it worth for money ?
Sales tanked with the 718 already going to 4-cilinders, so it's not hard to imagine how low the sales of a 100% electric Boxster/Cayman are gonna be.. There's not that many people wanting to buy and drive a socalled environmental consious sportscar I think.. Who's gonna buy a sportscar with zero sound and feel?!? It will probably be crazy fast in a straight line but also be much heavier and full of tech like fake sound etc to fool us into some "experience".. Just enjoy what we have now for as long as we can I guess, forget about the "future"..
Yup nobody wants the electric junk. They're not even more "environmentally friendly" lmao. Their sales will plummet big and they'll be back to ICE in no time
Just got a 911 GTS. This video has taught me so much. Love the historical context too. You made me love my new car. Thank u.
For me it screams the Nazi party when the wheels hit a certain rpm with the crest stamped on the wheelsv …. Nein!!
All of the safety gadgets need to be standard. The a-la-carte BS on things a Sentra has standard is ridiculous. There's no reason to increase the price since the production has been cheapened with the digitization of everything. Profit maximization to the hilt.
Thanks Mason for another super informative, well done video.
Verdezeltmatalic!!
Hello Thank you for your videos. Can I ask you if these functions on demand work on Cayenne too. Thanks
That ridiculous removable top on the Spyder RS is a deal breaker for me. I'd rather just opt for the 718 Spyder if I wanted the drop-top experience and go for the GT4 RS if I wanted the extra performance and that glorious induction sound.
Why do you sound like a robot?
Have a recurring nightmare where i bought an automatic 911. The three pedal ballet is more fun
hi, my porsche taycan only charging for 2 minutes when i'm connecting to a 40kW DC fast charger
What about interior?
The Interior is unchanged for the ICE Macan!

Useless, no ergonomy, looking down at the screen is not a natural body position. Auto industry doesn t know what to do next, they reached a plateau.
Good. Nobody wants an all electric 718 😂 Porsche is going to learn the hard way when they sell 20% of their expected units, and back to gas they’ll go.
This car will give us "the Porsche experience'... Most of us are not competitive road racers... So none of us will even know how to "push a career to their limited".... Must want a everyday driver. Realistically. To drive to a restaurant, gym, shooting, to a party..... C2s...a little more JP be and torque. C4s... More grip in the wet or snow... GT3.... For the naturally aspirated engine sound.. Heh Why would one not buy that base Carter's? Lacks price of ownership... Having to tell friends you bought the lowest model didn't feel good.. or strangers.
Wow! Very informative!!! I thought I knew what I needed to know ... NOT! Btw, what tires are best for my 2019 991.2 4 gts??? Thx. That's my keeper. 😀
So glad this video was helpful! I tend to be a big Michelin guy so I would recommend Michelin Pilot Sport 4S!
@Pcarwhisperer thx! That seems to be to choice for most, but with your expertise, couldn't resist getting your opinion. 😀
Before you launch when you had your foot on both brakes and throttle, were you at full throttle? If so, did you get wheel spin?
By Caymen..it was nice knowing you. You'll be phased out after the elecshitified version sells less than 500 units.
Thanks
You were right about the value of the car….They cost 4000$ more now. the price is around 15,000-20,000€ right now
I don’t think I would call the revised Taycan sportier or say it has better lines. The first gen has way more exotic and aggressive curves when it comes to lines on the car. Seems like Porsche tamed those down for the second gen.
Can you really see out of that small rearview mirror?
I don’t believe this will be the final year of ICE 718. Globally, manufacturers are discovering that people aren’t warming up to EVs. All the rumors said that the 718 would be an EV in 2025, there were even videos of Porsche testing an EV 718, but because no one wants EVs I think they are going to go Hybrid like the 911 GTS though they’ll tune it more for mileage than performance. EU is going to have to change mandated direction else their big manufacturers (VW, BMW, etc) are going to be stuck producing cars that no one wants and that will harm them financially. I think the intent was to do a 718 EV for 2025 but then they postponed it (that’s why there are essentially no changes from last year) so that they could work for another year on making it a hybrid.
What is the name of the two black protection at the back of the Porsche 986 ? thanks
Would you have any updates on newer versions of the system? I am particularly interested on whether the newer/upgraded system would work in narrow spaces? What would be the limitations? I have been asking Porsche what the limitations are, doesn’t seem they can answer it. Does the Macan EV have identical system as the new 2024 Taycan?
Not Burmeister!!!!😅 Burmester

Good video, but its important to know you missed quite a few things that differentiate the modes other than the obvious. Range and Normal mode deactivate Launch Control. Porsche Active Aerodynamics are off in Normal mode. Sport mode will enable Launch Control and battery cooling to support continuous load. Sport mode also enables 1st gear and the shift to 2nd gear when accelerating. 1st gear is disabled in Range and Normal mode. Porsche Active Aerodynamics are on in Sport mode which means the rear spoiler will go up in 3 stages depending on your speed or if you are in LC mode and will retract back down when you come to a stop. Recuperation is enabled in Sport Mode to assist with braking or lead in braking. Sport and Sport Plus also change the feel and ratio of the steering wheel from Normal and Range. Some other things as well, but these are the key feature changes :)
👍🏼
I’m considering some options to possibly order a cayenne coupe. Should I add this to my cayenne configuration? I don’t expect to take it off road or on a performance track. Adaptive Air Suspension incl. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) The reviews I read online look favorable but I’m not sure how much it helps if I am driving in comfort mode most of the time. Or maybe it’s active in all modes? I’m not sure I want anything that lowers the height in normal mode but maybe I am misunderstanding what this does. Thanks for your help!
Well done!
Thank you!
PDK … seriously?
I'd either get the base or what I decided on, a 2019 991.2 4 gts, and absolutely love it! Finally found my perfect fit after 70+ cars. Not a collector, just a driver.
Thanks Mason for not only providing us great video content but giving back in ways such as this.
You're welcome John! I saw your email I will be getting back to you ASAP. Have to see if I have a full shot of that wheel. 👍🏼
I like the 2016 one Cause it is lower pitched, my dad owned one second hand
Way to go!🎉🙌🏼
Thank you 😊
Ok I now prefer the gt4 rs.
Congrats!
Thank you Jenny!
In Canada, I ordered in March 2022 and I'm getting my 718 next month (July 2024) so I wonder who in Canada is going to get the 2025...does who ordered late 2022 or early 2023 ?
Well done Mason, thanks for the content.
Thank you so much! You're welcome!
Congrats Mason!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Loved it so much I ordered one!
This is cool, but Ithink I would just park on my own :)
Can you specify the price increase for each model ?
I just want a few more pops in my 2021 718 Spyder.
We just purchased a new Taycan RWD and just found your channel, great info for “newbies”. We are just going to charge for 1st time, this was great timing finding your informative video. Thanks, and look forward to more of your great videos.
Good information to know
Thank you! 😊
Listen, dude: The name of the actual Red Bull Race race track at the Spielberg area in Austria was formerly known as "Zeltweg". This is quite well known.... Unfortunately not to some stupid Americans... I strongly guess, that this new Porsche 718 PTS colour is named after the old name of the Austrian race track "Zeltweg". And I also guess, that the colour is "Verde", which means "green". Maybe the correct word of this colour is "Verde Zeltweg metallic", which means "Zeltweg green". These are three single words, but not one long word, dude! But of course, some stupid Americans are pronouncing it as one, stupidly and not existing, strange word, which actually makes no sense at all. Not even for native Germans or Austrians! By the way: you even messed up completely the pronounciation of this not existing and stupid fantasy word "Verdezeltwegmetallic", dude. "Verdezeltmeg".... ???? You can't even read letters PROPERLY, dude... LOL. I can't see a "m" ! Americans trying foreign languages... 🤦♂🤦♂. You are totally embarrassing!
