Yea I fished Alexander creek Alaska late 90’s. Thought I’d b all alone at my uncles lodge. Hell, people every where and planes landing right by boat. First heard of “ combat fishing”. They weren’t kidding.

The Kenai Peninsula is probably your best bet for that! Depends on the time of summer/fall for which species and then pinpoint a location from there, but in general the peninsula is the best spot 🙌🏼

lol that year was a slop fest for all involved-I’m sure aggressive tires would have made a difference but the main trail was washed out and I did the best I could 🤭

Wow. Alot in common with you guys. Ok. I was raised in Lewiston. 2nd and 3rd grade in Coure d lane. Graduated in Lewiston 1975. Moved to Alaska. My family had 25 businesses in the Soldotna and Kenai Alaska area. My brother Andy currently has " Kriners Diner" in Anchorage. As kids we sturgeon fished in Hells Canyon for years. Amazing. I enjoyed your videos

Hi 🙋🏼♀️ we haven’t gone on this trip yet, but I’ve flown on two other bush planes here in Alaska (one Piper, where you sit directly behind the pilot and it’s just the two of you, and also a Beaver, which was multiple rows) and neither felt claustrophobic to me, especially with because so much of the enclosure was glass windows. That said, I don’t typically struggle with claustrophobia, so the experience could be different for you. Hope that helps!

I’m really not sure why?? I know that you can take fuel with you on fly-out hunts, but the reservations we made were very clear, “all types of fuel are illegal on all passenger flights” 🤷🏼♀️

It’s with Katmai Air on a float plane, but for some reason that’s what they put on the paperwork… I’m with you that it doesn’t make sense/not consistent with other similar experiences but so it is 🤔
