    Great video. Love my xpro2, no camera is perfect anyway. I think you don't need anything more recent even in 2024. Slap on a manual focus prime like the Mitakon 35 and you are set.

    With the latest firmware update the x pro2 can also record 4k video. Fujifilm did implement it later on. Otherwise try out the xe3 or the newer xe4. Both are nice cameras, though i switched from the xe 4 to the xpro 2 and didn't once regret my decision

    You're absolutely right, it does have 4k now. At the time I didn't update the firmware to the latest but did now just to troubleshoot a shutter issue and noticed 4k present. I've had a few people tell me about the xe series, I'm gonna have to pick it up eventually and give it a shot.

    I'm a Fuji + L-mount shooter, too! The H-series is what I'd shoot if I could afford both X-Pro and another. Hoping to get the X-Pro4 with the HybridVF-optimised Voigtlaender VX27mmF2 and VX35mmF0.9 when they all release, but currently saving for the actually-existing S5IIx since it's smaller than the S1R with phase-detect and ssd recording.

    im dabating between choosing the xh1 and xt3, maybe a bit toward the XH1 bc it's cheaper, ill have more money to buy lens but i've heard some negative feedback on the xh1's shutter button which is too light so it's hard for the user to know when the camera is focusing or has taken a picture... Can you please give me an advice. Thanks !

  • @rockabillybuddha

    You're absolutely right with the sensitivity of the shutter button and pre-focusing. One thing I did to combat that is to map the AF-On button to focus and when I got the shot how I wanted I'd then press the shutter. The T-3 is better with video but h1 has ibis if you need that for on the go recording. In terms of pictures, I'm a fan of the sensor on the h1 as it's warmer and easier to color grade than the t3 but that's subjective. Hope this helps!!

    I've always been interested in the X100V but ultimately went with the XT4 just so I could change lenses. I think the whole system is small and light enough that it's not a big deal to carry around. But X100V definitely wins for ultimate portability and simplicity.

  • @rockabillybuddha

    Oh 100% agree. You can't go wrong with the X-T4 and the interchangeable lens is pretty nice. If you want a good travel camera that u can change lenses and won't break the bank, I would check out any of the Fuji X-E line. They're like a mini X-pro and super lightweight. Even more so than the X-T series.

    I'm also a Fuji shooter and the S5 caught my interest a couple of months ago and the more I look into it, the more I want it. I mostly shoot photos, though. Do you think it's still a good deal for non-video people?

  • @rockabillybuddha
    @rockabillybuddha2 жыл бұрын

    Oh absolutely! I have had very little issue when it comes to photos. Even though the auto focus isn't the best on the market, you won't really notice too much if you're doing just photos. Even less if you have a native Lumix S lense. The photos are easy to edit, colors are amazing, dynamic range is pretty good (though I haven't pushed it too far yet) and you get that full frame goodness. The S5 really is a great hybrid camera. And a fun camera in general. I highly recommend giving it a try

    Had mine near mint now for 2 weeks. I have everything non essential turned off; face eye detect, IBIS, etc. It's on S, and this happens even with a manual vintage lens. No battery grip attached. (Waiting for the next check to drop the $120. for the proper Fuji S batteries) What happens is, after about 15 seconds on, the rear screen starts to lag. I can only stop it by half pressing the shutter. This brings it back up to speed. Any experience with this issue?

  • @rockabillybuddha

    I have experienced freezing\lagging with my xh1 in the past but haven't really dug into it much mostly because it only happened when the camera was idle. If I remember correctly, it may have something to do with either the 3rd party battery or slow memory card but I'm not 100%. I've read that it could be a power saving feature but I'm not sure how to turn it off

    I bought a Sony then a Canon and then a Fujifilm. There are certain things I prefer about each one so they each have their specific situation where they get used.
