I can't believe so many underground rappers who've died at an eraly age end up being remembered well. With them dudes ending up on every clothing line and poster to buy at the malls. Hell they left on peoples social medias. Had he been in the this era and died he'd be treated the same way but very sadly that aint the case. Its sad very few rappers in the 2000s who werent very popular were even noticed at all when they died. I used to listen to this song since 2008 when it came out during 6th grade. To this day I cannot get over it especially when the case didn't get enough attention from the media. But even worse so he was murked over the dumbest sh#t i've ever heard of. And the killer claimed it was self defense and even payed off some filthy corrupt lapd officials. Not sure iof they were part of the police or the FBI. But if you watch the court videos with that rya hole who killed Dolla named Aubrey Berry, it showed that the defendant's attorney, Howard Price, made much of Burton's gangsta rap lyrics and videos with gang members to present the victim as a violent gang member and thug who attacked his client. Its complete bs and Aubrey in the end ended up being set free. He posted 1 million dollar bail and after that he was never heard of from again. If he is still kicking, its probably not here in the US. He probably changed his name and identity. Dolla's mother and other family were there when he was announced that charges against him would be dropped and she was mortified angry and sad crying in tears. No justice was ever given against Dolla's killer, the killer claiming self defense and taking advantage of Los Angeles corrupt justice system played a favor for himself. Afterall if you got enough money and a sh#t excuse, your pretty much a free man or you won't be facing any consequences. Roderick Anthony Burton II died at only 21 years old. He had a bright future in the rap world and was never got to see the full results to what he was gonna deliver in the recording studios he was heading to before he was killed by some nutcase who was obviously jelous of his fame and good looks.
