Oh, looks like an expensive hotel. I don't know if you are going overboard though and living out of fear. I just pray for my hotel room before we sleep there. I have had some very unsound, unpleasent experencies before I did that. I was sleeping next to my daughter (little girl) and she was uneasy and kept waking up. What if you don't have the gift of speaking in tongues? I don't have it and my husband doesn't either (he grew up Baptist, I Pent.). Honestly I get super annoyed with people saying, pray in the Spirit, because not everyone has the gift of speaking in tongues. i am for it, but just haven't recieved it. Also we are not in the Old Testament.

I anoint and pray over everything like he does and I do it pretty much like he does, except to the extent that he touches every single wall. I agree with pictures and mirrors, but I think it’s legalistic and extreme such as legalism always is to have to touch every single wall, God is bigger and more powerful than that, it’s almost like it’s done out of fear, which is where legalism comes from. I don’t think you need to touch every single wall if you feel led to at times maybe that atmosphere is that bad that you need to but I wouldn’t do it legalistically I would do it as led. I think anointing the main walls, doors, and windows is enough and not every corner…

Do not command Angels, even Jesus didn’t do this! Please follow Jesus and do what He did, not what you think. Please follow Scripture, Paul nor any of the disciples commanded or spoke directly to angels, talk to God, He’ll do the despatching. You cannot use angels. God in His mercy may allow this for a time. Please teach from scripture.
You quoted the Jesus saying incorrectly, that they could not cast out the demons but by fasting and prayer. Please be careful when teaching because it is a combination..
Today I anointed my house with oil for the first time ever. I have always felt inadequate, powerless and not godly enough to do it myself. I have finally realized that if I have accepted Christ in my heart. I am his child and I have the authority to do this through him

Hello Neal! Thank you for the instructions. Just one thing when you anoint with oil doesn't that leave marking or residue on walls? If I don't want stain. I've done cleaning with water before i still see water on the walls. Hope you have an answer for that. Thank you.

This verse, "this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting" , refers to their unbelief not a kind of demon. Fasting and praying helps you get rid of your unbelief which in turn helps to cast out any demon. The reason the disciples could not cast out the demon was, according to Jesus, their unbelief (Matthew 17:20)
It seems to me like anyone can give an encouraging word, but what makes it supernatural?
Good question. What makes it supernatural is when you give someone encouragement, or comfort through this gift, it’s the exact thing they need to hear based on where they are at in life and what they are going through without you having any knowledge of it. Not just kind or nice words given of your own accord.

Could you please point out any of the teachings of Jesus where He recommends anything like this? All I can find is the reference to shaking dust off your feet. What about Paul or any other teachings of the New Testament? The anointing of objects related to the temple or tabernacle in the Old Testament were to set them apart as Holy, not to be used for common day-to-day activities. I don’t see anything that suggests that spiritual beings are associated with them.

Is it good to anoint pictures of people that were mean, in any way or even evil or ones that went to lilydale many many yrs ago? My Grampa was my pal I was told. He passed 59+ years ago and he'd gone to lilydale regularly as my mom told me. I didn't know what this place was about about 12 yrs ago, my mom and dad planned to go there one day and I was to go along. But as I read my devotions that morning, it was plain on the page that to entertain mediums is A HUGE NO-NO. THAT IF WE DO SO, GOD WILL TURN HIS FACE FROM US. So, when I got to my parents' home I told them I was not going and why. That was the end of the discussion. They were Christians and the conversation stopped right there and was never brought up again.
