This game was my childhood when i played it first time it looks like MW2019 + Minecraft
I tried this game if not day one then week one and I didn't like it. I downloaded it again to try it again and I played this mode and it's fun as hell.
really good game especially considering its free
Thank god someone said what i have been thinking. Im not a 4 teams of 3 player, power shift is the only mode i play. I have tried the other modes but they are not my cup of tea. I want too see more 5v5 modes. Mainly i want to see a "hard point" style of game mode. Just a single capture point that randomly jumps around the map, that with this destruction would make every round feel different.
Miss this game :(
me too
Mentioned Dirty Bomb, now I'm sad!
"widens the appeal massively". 80% of the power shift games I try to play start with me logging into a game where my team is losing by 37k, everybody else has left and I just have to try to find a new game again. And then I do and it's just 4 APS and 4 turrets
Yea that back-fill feeling isn't the best. Ppl need some minor penalty for leaving just to discourage it
Dope ! And, I feel you with not liking deathmatch and the fear of someone always being behind you 😂 And, sight options would be amazing! I understand that the devs dont want to have focus on weapon attachements and more on the game mechanics, but changing the sight doesnt change much. It just makes shooting the guns more enjoyable...
Here since Dirty Bomb! I enjoyed The Finals a tremendous amount during the open beta and the first few weeks of season 1, but the average skill balooned quickly and the game lost the creative and casual nature it had in the early days. Power Shift feels like Dirty Bomb and brought back my love for The Finals! I think I've played maybe 3 or 4 matches since season 2 started that wasn't Power Shift.
Tbh I didn't play much at launch at all, just when Power Shift arrived it's something i'm playing almost daily. Thanks for watching all this time :)
didnt know people played that mod for fun
Indeed they do, in preference to the 3v3v3 modes even :)
Choosing one weapon because it has a sight over a weapon that doesn’t is a good thing. It’s harder to see with the AK but I pick it because I put out more damage than I do with the FCAR
Uncustomizable weapons are a good thing. I want to die to an mp5 and say “ah he got me with an mp5” not die to a “Ryker grip holo sight collapsible stock extended mag hollow point mp5” learn your gun and how to play it. Customizing guns in cod have a negative effect on the game. It was cool when you got one attachment, but that game didn’t have light medium and heavy classes with different unique special abilities plus gadgets that support you role on the team as your selected play style. Gun customization would ruin the customization we already have. Learn your gun.
I agree on most of these points Yet something like switching out optics would be nice Since I really hate some of the ironsights and it's one of the main reasons why I find myself choosing the Lewis gun over th3 m60
New mode is pretty good, I agree. Made me wanna play again. Still, for me, nothing beats the gunplay feel of DB. Wish the hip fire was more accurate here. Finding myself relying on it sometimes when I shouldn't. Biggest beef I have is audio and indicator for getting shot. Enemy footsteps should be louder. Not counter strike loud, but loud enough so that I hear them if they are really close. Also enemy gunfire should be louder - the amount of times I hear shots behind me and be like "ok, thats far, it does not need my immediate attention", only to get flatlined because they are actually super close. And finally - getting hit - I take different actions based on my hp. If I feel I'm loosing a fight, I'm gonna bolt it. But in this game I have a hard time getting a feel for how badly I am injured. And I don't have time to look at my hp while in a gunfight. Bugs here and there, some balancing needed, but overall its a great game.
I really wish there was a way to get better hip fire too, think a weapon attachment system would be a great addition. Maybe give much slower ADS speed for better hf, etc. Damage indicator is an interesting one, didn't think I agreed with you until I thought about it and looked at some footage back. Think the only real times I can evaluate whether I want to bolt is when I can see the threat on-screen. So yea, additional indicators or maybe some centralised hud showing hp would be good.
power shift is basic. avoid
basicALLY AWESOME
Power shift is significantly better when you’re not squadded up with friends and communicating though. Cash out is great but I can’t play strategically in such a chaotic game mode when I have no comms with randoms. And helldivers kinda killed this game, hoping the finals comes back but I only have one friend that plays now and then vs 7 friends playing helldivers. And I’m on Xbox so…..
I actually enjoy the cashbox mode more than powershift. I enjoy Figuring out the timing of when to attack or when to lay low. The challenge wiping the teams and stealing the cashbox before they return is super fun! I hope they are working on spawning locations tho
dang I played against your stack earlier today you guys are cracked.
Thanks, I'll forward them the compliment! We do have a few gamers in the squad :)
DIRTY BOMB MENTIONED! ... I miss it.
4:23 - jumpscare 😱 powershift is a much better gamemode for casual play compared to previous attempts (unranked tournament, bank it, quick cash). Like if I decide to play solo, power shift is the only mode I can play and enjoy.
Yea that's a good point about it being more casual friendly. I've been playing in pre-made teams (aka 'getting carried')
@@LCTRgames yeah if i'm playing ranked i'm always in a premade :D
Dirty Bomb was the best ET successor
Heck yea, we need *another* ET / DB successor now!
RTCW ET was my first real addiction, I still wonder why not more other games use(d) a more similar formula, I really loved the teamwork and the varied multi stage objective gameplay that game offered, and its voice call-outs are still fresh on my brain, they enriched the gameplay so much "Ja ha" "Wunderbar" "Good game" "Hallo" "I'm a field ops" "'Incoming" "Taking fire" "I need a medic" "We need an engineer" "Disarm the objective" ..., whole conversations could be had. DB was/is quite similar, has more enjoyable gunplay and is a lot of fun, but I did miss the larger more casual nature of ET a bit, and the mods, the progression, the community built maps, also the voice callouts were disappointingly watered down/underused in comparison.
KZread deleted my life so now I am family friendly for jokes. I power shifted gears in my car to drive faster hahahaha ty ty
Game is potential with various modes. As the game does have the moba vibe. They can add the point capture mode, similar to the overwatch,
Honestly i don't know when exactly i subscribed to your channel, but i know / watched your vids since the DB-times. Hearing your voice always reminds me of DB and brings back good memories. So i hope you'll be around for a bit :) Wish i could like The Finals, but the 3vs3vs3(vs3?) was just not for me. I always felt like premade trios just wipe the floor with random trios. If it was two teams of 6vs6 or 7vs7, i think i would have a blast.
I'd give this Power Shift mode a try fwiw, it's 5v5 and has all the crazy Finals moments with more structured gameplay. Thanks for watchin all this time, appreciated :)
Seeing Dirty Bomb mentioned in 2024 is unreal. I do hope there will be some kind of successor, like DB was to Brink. I have yet to find another game that feels as good at it's core as DB does. Though I am guilty of being a Phantom main. After spending close to 1800 hours playing in 3 years, i decided to even get the logo tattooed as a memory of the fun i had had. your channel was a big part of that journey so, thank you <3
I still see a lot of love for DB around, ppl mention it with fondness not just cos it was great to play but also for the community and fun times. I also hope we get some sort of spiritual successor too, fingers crossed, some day... Thanks for watching all these years :)
thats one game where playing the healer wasnt that much of a hassle, you just throw down the healing box thing and keep playing. i wish more games at least had a character like that
been here since the db days :) and been playing the finals as my main shooter since open beta! i loved it when it launched and couldnt really put down, but since power shift came out ive been playing that mode about 90% of the time. it feels like the overwatch version of push or whatever it was called but done right. devs also have confirmed they will push more maps to power shift, so thats probably next for the mode. yes, new routes would be cool and also i do hope that there will be a ranked mode for power shift :) main mode can be frustrating, especially when youre about move to next round (if youre playing ranked) but your cashout gets stolen in the last second, i absolutely cannot stand that, especially if we've been fighting off one team and the other one just comes in last second and takes it. hopefully they can make some adjustments going forward to that!
Yep, agree with all that - the cashout mode just seems to generate those sort of clustered fights that I don't tend to enjoy. I like the chaos normally in games, but I've learned I prefer it to also have rough front-lines so you're not looking 360-degress the whole time waiting to get 3rd-partied. Cheers for watchin all these years :)
DIRTY BOMB THATS WERE I REMEMBER YOUR VOICE! Holy shit that’s a long time ago on my old channel 😂 no wonder I’ve been thinking I’ve heard that voice before 😂😂
Been a while, still mad when I stand on a Proxy mine ;)
man i miss Db :(
Me too man, me too :)
Hey man, yes been a long time hope you doing well these days. Still look forward to your videos. Where have you been, did you get busy with irl stuff. Anyways thanks for great content all these years
Yea kinda IRL happens but also never really found another game that grabbed me like DB did. Been on the mil-sim grind as well - but still hoping for DB2 to happen at some point... fingers crossed. Thanks for watchin all these years too, appreciated :)
Yep, here since Dirty Bomb days. :-) Still don\t get it, why they deside to close that game... It was a good one.
Same man. Would have hoped we might have even seen a follow-up game in the past few years, still got my fingers crossed :D Love knowing that DB people are still around tho, always see a lot of love for it whenever it's mentioned online. Thanks for watchin all these years :)
Dirty bomb is still online. Just community run servers so ya gotta get lucky with people online. Been playing for a month or so, gunplay is so nice.
What do you think of The Finals? A fan of the 3v3v3 modes? Thinking about trying 5v5 Power Shift? Leave a Comment NOW :)
Liked the 5v5 mode more but one criticism would be that it does get very spam heavy at times.
@@rogue4340 That's fair comment, think with heavy shields and the trophy-system-thing you can mitigate a lot of it. Does need teamwork tho. Maybe a different shaped platform might help lessen that spam? idk, would need to play to see....
@@LCTRgames1000 hp on the shield is op in my opinion when it also has dome and barricade. A small hp nerf to the mesh shield would help a lot
Driel sounds like the freaking titanic bout to break apart the entire f****** game. Why the hell let lose is bridge sound like it’s bout to collapse or a giant robot making out with his gf??? That constant sound effect needs removed!!!!
Im on a 24 hour ban for cheating when all i did was kill the enemy from a good position HLL players are a fragile lot il stick to squad
HLL is the only game where you get banned for playing the game 🤦♂️
I actually love the British Forces post rework so much more. They look, act, and feel more consistent with other depictions of British Forces in other WWII games now. The Lanchester, P.14, and Jungle Carbine felt really, really out of place. Not to mention that the vehicles are more authentic to each map now. Hope they do a Soviet Forces rework next, since there's a few things that need improvement over there.
Did you just say that Driel looks too flat for your taste? A map that takes place during operation Market Garden, in Driel, in The Netherlands, the flattest country in the world? Lol
lol, just the area around the new central point position. Just feels a little 'nothing' compared to the bridge area
I'd honestly be happy with no extra content for the next 12 months if it meant that all resources were devoted to optimization and QOL patches. Im so so so sick of the annoying stutters and generally poor performance all the time
The stutters are an issue for sure for me too, hope they're prioritised in the coming patches
And getting banned for killing enemy players
I've been playing HLL for roughly 2 months. Love the game and the grind of the full length matches. I am one of those older(58) gamers with a full time job and the long matches can be rough if I get a late start playing. Skirmish is great for a quick games during the work week. Another advantage I find is that I can learn the more involved roles in a less chaotic setting. I think skirmish would be a good place for beginners to start learning the game. The only negative for me is the lack of maps for skirmish.
Glad skirmish is finding a base of ppl who enjoy it - just hope the existing community can view it as complimentary to the 'main' modes. Also agree on the maps, we could do with some more options, maybe even move that central point around on maps we already have for more variation.
@flipper644 I to am in my 50's & have been threatening to buy this game for last year or so, & then boom, I see it's on game pass, I downloaded it last night, am now going through KZread clips to find out how to play properly as I have been on cod, ghost recon & sniper games, & I know this is a skilled game & so different & difficult.... So I may take a look into the skirmish games for a bit before jumping into a big game.. I do love the look of this game & watching the KZread videos, awesome..👍
Hopefully its not just forced into the gameplay rotation on consoles and able to be toggleable
@@ni990okjyh On console, Skirmish is separate from Warfare mode. There 4 maps now.
You’re worried about them changing the sights to be more usable on the bren? Have you seen the comically goofy M1 garand and Thompson sights?
lol, fair point
When is this update?
It's already out, can play asap :)
They need to fix the prone mechanic and bipod to
The weird camera movements when you crawl prone is still a huge irritation for me 😬
too
@@user_b_ware5720 nice hobby
Don’t forget the feet phasing through the walls.
Still have not played a full lobby match
Yea it can be tough to find a Skirmish match happening at all tbh. Hopefully it's put into more server rotations
Good vibes on this channel. Peace!
Skirmish mode is a miss but the British and El Alamein rework were much needed. Looking forward to the new map coming out in a month or so.
What is it about Skirmish that you don't like? I saw the screenshots of that new map, does look interesting. Little worried about the lack of enterable main features of the town though - guess we'll need to see how it plays before judging it.
I think Skirmish will be good for seeding servers but it's a bit of a brainless meatgrinder with 100 players and just feels like it could have been a server admin setting on the regular warfare mode. The rest of the patch is great though. I like more density on the maps and I find the addition of gamepass players has actually made people communicate more.
Ah yea, I forgot about gamepass adding a bunch of new players - good for the game health for sure. I wonder if the meatgrinder can be seen as 'quick play' for HLL or something close to that. If you have 20m then you can play some quick HLL combat and be done.
@@LCTRgamesYeah I can definitely see someone wanting to play skirmish for a quick game. I've never had an issue with just jumping into a Warfare game for around 30 mins though and just leaving early. Just don't go Commander!
You still get xp if you have to leave a game?@@gerrytheleper6604
Any thoughts on ANYTHING I talked about? Let me know by leaving a Comment RIGHT NOW - I read them all :)
Overall bad game, don't trust the hype, bad reviews are silenced mostly.
This game‘s gunplay sucks ass
nice vid. came into ps/s44 late - wish i had a chance to play in its early days. love the high unit cohesion / coordination by comparison to similar games - sl'ing has been fun. hope we see some performance updates & good patches soon & some higher player counts. followed! 👍🏻
Have both hhl and s44, have to say that hhl graphics are superior, the game itself is rather limited when compared to s44, which has better sounds, better gameplay, a huge arsenal of weapons, a far superior tank system, many many more tanks and vehicles, much more realistic, if you can get used to s44's terrible map and the dated graphics its a much better experience all round. Looking forward to the promissed graphics update and s44 will knock spots off hll.
The bigger world and longer progression mixed with its more strategy based gameplay is what I really like.
