Actually a great idea for both the utilities and garbage
Thank you! Are you currently planning a project like this?
@@masterplanoutdoorliving489 yes. Reached out to a fence company and they want $1000 to do it. I’m like you’re out of your mind. Doing it myself
@@beardedelephant3023 I wish you the best on your project!
@@joshuagillow3478 thank you
You said the Building Codes. Some codes will require the openings like doors and windows that lead to the pool area to be at minimum set up with an Alarm that cannot be disarmed. This can be annoying during parties when people are constantly going in and out. But again these are regional issues.
You are correct Steve. Each municipality has thier codes. Do your research first to avoid hiccups later. Thanks for your comment!
Not a tv outside guy being outdoors is too appreciate the outdoors music is fine but tv no thx
This is absolutely lovely, but it does not allow for an automatic cover which we are so glad we have. Just another thing to consider.
How much was this pool?
Not all concrete cracks. I live in east Salt lake City and my 40+ year old large driveway has zero cracks. I also put several hundred pounds of salt on it every winter. It is pristine. Same with all my neighbors. In the new neighborhood I used to live in, every driveway had cracks within a few years. It was sad and pathetic. Don't know what changed besides builders going cheap.
Haha stamped concrete is the worst. Slippery as hell

Great video - considering a spillover spa in Florida. I've had one installer tell me the trench is ideally 12" with a 2" coping overhang. This would allow for easier install - considering a person's hand getting tile in the space. Another installer told me that 6" is the norm and that they just have to deal with the install. I'm also considering the cleaning/maintenance of a 6" trench. Any thoughts on this?
I would consider shortening those steps to preserve a swim lane.
Yikes, that spa is brutally bad. Whos idea was it to have a 1" overflow trough? Not only will displacement put that water everywhere so will the wind which is probably why they set the water level so low for the video. Also, i hope it was the owners decision to use that coping. Rough and not only looks bad and unfinished it will be rough on the little ones finger tips. Lastly that umbrella is a thing of nightmares. Drop a Tucci in there please.
Wow! ❤
The edge of concrete deck is ragged and looks unfinished. Also I would never let non-swimmer children play on a sunshelf. Think about it.
Totally disagree. The edges are a nice touch away from the norm. And why wouldn’t you let non swimming children play on a 9-12” sun shelf. As long as they’re supervised, there is no different risk than letting them play out of the pool if your concerned about them falling in.
@@rickalmeida1552 lol because parents take their eyes off kids all of the time and they drown to death. I agree with Paul, this pool is pretty awful.
Great 👍🏽 wish UK 🇬🇧 had this .
Gorgeous!
We just chose this shape for our pool the other day. Found this video and confirmed our decision.😁 love it.
love the random mouse cursor that flash across the screen
glad you noticed that 🙂
Make sure your concrete stamping contractor does not use *concrete accelerators* IE calcium chloride or any other off label additives, unless the patio is being poured on a morning/afternoon before temps are projected to drop below 40 degrees C that evening.

for some area, the trash bin will attract mouse/bugs/roaches, etc. then the pipe/meter/cables are the best hide places for them...
All that discussion about the pool - the depth of the shallow end, the depth of the deep end, etc. - but *did not mention the overall dimensions of this pool?* Looks to be approximately 15' x 35' (with an extra 7' of width for the lounging chairs) ????
How much did something like this cost?
Wow I would have never thought about these questions!!!!
Absolutely beautiful spa. I am definitely considering getting one! Nice job!
What about this idea but if you are on a lake lot? We are very worried about obstructing views with a 4 or 6 ft aluminum fence. Of course we think a pool would be awesome and get us out even more. We have a large beautiful lake lot. Thanks!
Perhaps glass railings could do the trick. They would keep the new preserved and safety barrier in place. They will need a bit more maintenance to keep them clean...
Ive gotten a few quotes and pavers are cheaper than poured stamped. Does that make any kinda sense?
Depends on where you are located. In Pennsylvania, Stamped is normally cheaper than pavers...
what are the demensions
Perfect strategy to ensure a child in the bottom of the pool.
This guy is solid!
Thank you !
The reason someone would want a fence around the pool in the first place is to keep babies and small pets from going into the pool unnoticed and drowning. None of the elements in your video address that. You’re simply making the point (from what I gathered) that having a fence around the pool is a poor design choice. True as that may be, you’re not proposing a better design option to keep small kids and pets playing in the yard from getting into the pool.
Completely agree. This is a design choice offer to clients to make sure they get the most use and comfort from their outdoor spaces. Each family must make the fence location decision based on their family situation.
What tile is used?
man that tile work is pretty bad.
Hey bud, good video. I’m just about to pour that same deck and install a very similar pool. Can you tell me the color combo they used on the concrete and was that pool pre-fab fiberglass or gunite?
Thank you! This concrete was Grey rock texture concrete and a gunite pool. Good luck on your project!

Hi, I have a few questions for you. I really like the color combinations you used for your pool. I am building a pool in California and would like to use the colors and brands you used. Can you share What color is your concrete? What color is your pool finish? What color is the tile? What is brand name of your tile and pool finish? Thanks for your help
I’m building an L shape pool too! love the color of the water in the pool, is that Aqua white or Aqua blue?
Can you teach me how you did it..🤤🤤🤤
Pour concrete over fiber optic cables. Seal the concrete, cut the cables, optional put a self-leveling epoxy over the concrete and cables. Plug the cables in to the driver, turn the driver on, voila. Pretty lights.
LOL..."that's bu!!$hit". Love your honesty as well as your video. I needed some input like this. Thanks!
Excellent presentation!
Thank you!
This makes a powerful point. One I kinda knew but never articulated. This is soo helping us with our project.
Aweome work and design for sure, the only thing I would suggest is to show it running to see the effects
This pool absolutely stunning! What color is the plaster on this build?
Do the outdoor speaker also connect to the TV?
Only in the TV area, not the whole backyard...
Hi, what can I do for my new built home for front porch it does not have a very finished look so would epoxy paint look nice?
