If you would like to support the making of my videos, then I have a donations page set up at treat.rarecancers.org.au/campaign/2153/helping-paul-eddington.
My name is Paul Eddington. I have pseudomyxoma peritonei from an appendiceal primary. I'm 53. I was first diagnosed in April 2023. At my staging laparoscopy, my Peritoneal Cancer Index (PCI) was rated as 39/39. I completed 6 rounds of chemotherapy on the FOLFOX6 regimen. At the end of round 6, my CEA and CA19-9 numbers were higher than when I started. The chemo didn't work for me.
In Oct 2023 I underwent the CRS+HIPEC+EPIC operation at St George Hospital in NSW under the guidance of Prof David Morris. The operation successfully removed most of my cancer, but has left me with a permanent ileostomy bag.
In early 2024 I started to feel the effects of peripheral neuropathy from the FOLFOX treatment. My feet are in constant pain to the point that I have trouble sleeping and standing. This is my current challenge.

Yay, Paul! You are awesome! I admire your positive outlook!❤️
Hello Paul, Can You show us how to replace regular inside mirror to the dimmer one and how to connect it into Mazda 3 BL. Regards from Poland
The pain and neuropathy on AIs and hormone therapy for breast cancer is real. I ordered some of this PEA today. Thank you for providng the discount code and for sharing your journey and lessons with us. Keep fighting and stay strong. Thank you for your sharing and caring by providing this channel and this educational information. I had just been seeking something just like this. We do indeed find the answers we need. Now that your.mind is opening to go beyond Big Pharma options, I would also suggest that you check into Mistletoe Therapy (MT) for Cancer. MT has seen many cases go from stage 4 to NED. MT is the most widely studied and widely prescribed CAM (complementary medicine) option in the world. It has helped me improve my case as well, fighting advanced breast cancer. I have shrunk a mass over 65% and stabilized my cancer for now and hopefully for some time to come. I also do this with conventional medicine of course. It is not meant as a stand alone monotherapy but should be used along side of conventional medicine when prescribed.
Peak to trough is an excellent description of catastrophic thinking. Good on you Paul for being so mellow 💜
Finding a little joy in the journey 😁
Hi Paul, it’s so amazing to see you up and at what you are so skilled in and obviously enjoy! There was a time, through your cancer journey, particularly post surgery, where I actually feared for your recovery from such extensive and invasive, traumatic, intervention. Your resilience is astonishing! To see you in this update, unless I’d been following you, I’d never have believed this level of improvement and excellent attitude to engaging in life, would have been possible! You are such an inspiration to everyone! Keep on being you, and enjoying it! Lots of care, and all very best wishes, 🥰
GREAT to see this!
Thank you 🎉
How hard is it to do while in the car, My entire exhaust is gone to crap😢
Hi Paul, delighted to see you doing what you enjoy doing. Nice that you are educating people who are interested in fixing cars. I couldn’t help but smile when you said you cut yourself…it was predictable Paul 😅. Happy you are feeling good, take care….sending love, hugs and continued improved health. hi to Caroline ❤
Hello sir, it was helpful for me but my garage has cancel it on my engine I want to connect it on the engine back. How
How hard is it to get off when it's still in the car? I have this problem right now as we speak 😢
Love Paul's videos-very informative 👍😀
Thank you for sharing these excerpts from your grandfather's diaries, I really enjoyed listening to them. A wonderful snapshot into times gone by! In reading them aloud, you've also created a wonderful record for family historians in the future. I'm researching my family history, so I love this sort of thing! Good luck to Noel with the sponsored cycle, I have donated, and wish you all the best from England!
LOVE YOU PAUL ❤COFFS HARBOUR
Paul, i know very little about making repairs to cars, but I watched this video from beginning to end. This fix didn't look that hard, but just had a lot of steps. I have to ask, where did you learn auto repair? Were you self-taught, or did you go through a formal training program? I honestly wonder if there is anything you can't do? It's great to see you happily occupied doing something you love and are good at. I'm up to learn more if you're willing to share your auto repair knowledge in more videos. ❤ Thelma (USA)
Hi Thelma, my father taught me when I was a teenager. He used to fix cars, washing machines, kettles, whatever. He showed me that if you pull something apart, you can usually work out how it works. That was true in the 80s. Nowadays there is more electronics involved, so sometimes even pulling it apart doesn't help you, but now you have KZread as well, so you have more clues. I assure you that there is plenty I can't do. I'm awful at soldering for example. My eyesight is nowhere near good enough for that. I can't do dent removal, spray painting or upholstery. If I had three lifetimes I'd learn those things, but I only have one, so I do what I do, and I share my knowledge with others. Paul.
Video helped me a lot! Thank you!
Wait Whats happening?
I'm getting on with living. That means I do things that I used to do before cancer. Like making car videos.
God bless mate 🙏
Hi Paul!
Mazdas are crap, sorry Paul
That's ok. I'd say that some Mazdas are crap. The 2.3L turbo petrol in the BK SP23 and CX-7 is AWFUL. However, the 2.0L and 2.5L petrol engines in the BL Mazda 3 are amazingly reliable. The 2.2L turbo diesel in the BL is basically bulletproof. I've never owned a BM, but I hear a lot of complaints about the iStop feature. I would disable that feature if I owned one.
I’ve been thinking of you all day. Prayers were said in church. We are all pulling for you ❤
Canadian 2012 Mazda 3 owner replacing resonator but comes with catalytic converter attached. Researching how to remove post sensor to facilitate replacement. Your video answered my questions, excellent!
You can tell your experienced and knowledgeable around cars from how you use your tools.
I'd never thought of that, but you are right. I have noticed it in other people too. Thanks for that perspective.

Thank you for sharing your experience with PEA. I suffer from polyneuropathy also and I have tried everything! I literally just ordered enough of this stuff to last me 3 months after giving me hope! 🙏 Thanks Paul and if it works for me or not I will update you. 👍
Please do let me know how you go. Also note that I upped my dose as time went by. I got a good result with 900 mg each morning and night (1,800 mg daily). Start off low, and increase your dose over time. I wish you well. Paul.
It does my heart good to see you getting back to life. 💗
Hi Paul. I really hope this turns out to be nothing
You should get a job with instant windscreens
Nice one for this post, really had my head scratching for a while. As requested from Horwich, Lancashire, UK
love to see you living Paul keep it up!!!!
so proud of you Paul! you got a lot of life to live and i think this could be a great idea you have come up with and maybe have a DIY car fixer upper show! it’s fascinating to watch
Hi. Very helpful video. I have same dash with dog claw marks on big area above the glove box. Is there a way of replacing that big panel, without taking entire dash out.
Yes. That triangular panel is attached to the glovebox. If you follow the part of the video where I remove the glovebox, then that is all you need to do. It's a five minute job. Paul.
holy hell paul, I thought this was one of your older videos with how good you look
Your energy is thru the roof!!! This brings smiles to me just to see that you're not just back at it, but at it with a passion and moving around like nothing happened... Amazing!! I have to be honest... watching the first few minutes, I thought this was an old video, and I had to read the comments to see it wasn't. 1 more thing... all these videos I watched for a year now and I never realized you are missing the tip of your right index finger!!! How did that happen?!?!?
I was young and invincible. I thought a spinning motorbike chain and sprocket was nothing to be feared. I was wrong.
@@PaulinPerth OUCH!!!
Awesome video!
You look so good Paul. So much better. 👍👍👍
I wish you weren't in Perth, Paul. I could use your help with my 1979 Mercedes 300D! You're looking good, btw!
Very interesting, thank you, I used your fixing the seatbelt technique , which worked to a point. 🌹♥️🐶🚗
I wish I knew more about cars. I just got a lSmart car and I’m loving that silly little thing 😊 So nice to see you doing what you love 💜
Isn‘t it great to get back to things that bring joy and are not cancer related? Cancer has stolen enough time from us. What cars are to you, horses are to me 🚗🐴. This video was interesting and very entertaining and I watched it carefully, but not in a million years I will be able to replace a window by myself. But: at least I know how to change tires 😊. Years ago the passenger door window of my car was smashed by carjackers and till today there are tiny pieces of glass in my car.🤷♀️ Let‘s stick together. ❤ Bettina
One day at a time. Live in today! ❤
Hey Mate! So good to see you turning wrenches again! I'm in San Diego (USA). My days of turning wrenches are long over, but it brought me great satisfaction in my youth. My Dad, has had 4 Mazda MX-5s (many of the same components as the Mazda 3. Great cars! Cheers mate!
Hey it's Bliss in Florida, just checking back THUMBS UP ❤❤❤
you inspire me Paul!
Paul you are amazing, your attitude in face of adversity is unbelievable, I wish I such strength.
Nice! Thanks for this.
Honestly, Paul, it was your teaching that hooked me onto your channel. It made me care even more about what you were going through and it was a big reason why I followed your journey. I actually hope that I never have to replace my own car window but, because of you, I feel like I could.
Cool! I'm sure you could. It's quite empowering to fix things yourself. Paul.
I cant believe I just watched this, 😂found it quite interesting, just loved seeing the old Paul back, missed him, I bet it did you good as well Paul, 👍 ❤
Yeah, it felt good. I'm gonna try and do more. Paul.
well paul you seem a lot better than we have seen you in weeks so much more positivity and optimism ❤
