    Lol John has problems that were not related to cannabis use, but he just happened to be using cannabis 😂

    Thanks, Rock. We appreciate the input and your point of view. Working in substance abuse and addiction medicine for almost 30 years, I can say for certain that cannabis was a factor in what happened - high THC = Psychosis for many.

  • @RockPileTanks
    @RockPileTanks29 күн бұрын

    @tigerresilience it can equal psychosis for those who already possess mental health issues before use. For example, if you're already experiencing physiological issues, then you start taking cannabis, you will still have the same physiological issues. The cannabis did not cause them, it may have exacerbated them. Just like a person without physiological issues will not suddenly develop them with the use of cannabis. Another example: John has diabetes. John used to eat lots of sweets, which was worsening his condition. John decided to start smoking cannabis to help with his condition. John started eating lots of sweets after smoking cannabis. Cannabis caused johns diabetes to worsen...... That's what you're saying. When in reality its johns poor self-control, weak mind, and pre-existing condition is the problem not the cannabis. I know big pharma hates cannabis because its a medicine that someone can grow in their backyard for free. But simply lying about it to try sway peoples opinions is pure evil. You know, as well as i do that john was a crack head, and cannabis is not going to magically stop john from being a crack head. But john is a crack head because of the opiate epidemic that big pharma has created. You would think after 30 years in the medical feild you could see that but apparently, you can not connect those dots. Please im anxious for your rebuttal about how john the crack heads psychosis was caused by cannabis and not by his pre existing mental health condition that is present prior to cannabis use, due to the face that he was using opiates and his brain chemistry had already been permanently altered.

Many ppl that have killed themselves were also pot smokers same with alcohol or other drugs. Can't blame the plant for something He did. Just cause you don't like cannabis so you make this absurd claim up. Again I'm sorry for your loss and hope you learn why really. As hospitals are very quick to say thc abuse. Because a lot of them don't use it. If he was drinking when it happened you couldn't blame the alcohol but rather why was he drinking. He liked cannabis cause it makes you feel better. He was probably sad about something else and sadly you don't want to look into that but just blame a plant. @@tigerresilience what misinformation? What untruths about marijuana ? Please explain

  • @tigerresilience
    @tigerresilience Жыл бұрын

    Hi Megan - thank you for your interest. The term medical marijuana itself is a misnomer. The name marijuana is a slang, not a medical term. The only cannabinoid that is under FDA is Dronabinol (Marinol®/Syndros®). This is used for cancer patients. I treat patients with substance use disorders and there is a multitude that are being informed, by the industry, that medical marijuana is approved to treat a variety of issues, from anxiety to depression - but none of that is true. There is no medical community support and the patients I work with still continue to have issues because they believe the misnomer, medical marijuana , and use/abuse the product with the only intention is to get high (many just rationalize it). I am not against marijuana, everyone is free to choose what they would like to do - I support the legalization of it. But the untruths are marketing ploys from a billion dollar industry. If you want proof, go back in history and see how cigarettes were once sold as a healthy choice (big money ads) even though the producers knew of its dangers to health. Thank you again for your feedback, I appreciate hearing from all views and just want everyone to know all the facts. Very Best, Bernie.

    @@tigerresilience wow I didn’t know all that. Thank you for taking the time to respond and explain. I use to smoke all the time. Started when I was 16 until mid twenties or so up until I was 27 Everything changed like a light switch. I became extremely depressed , withdrawn , horrible anxiety , lost and empty no drive or confidence very sad it was awful 😞 I turned into a hermit basically just an outer shell of who I was once was. It was absolutely terrifying.my whole life up until then I was the most happiest confident outgoing friendly funny passionate social butterfly I had no idea what depression or anxiety was or any mental issue and just all the sudden out of nowhere it all came like Aton of bricks without even knowing why or how , what was happening to me why and what to do to help me or fix me . Sadly I struggled in silence for many years by myself. I’m 32 years old now and Thankgod I’m still here today it’s honestly a miracle. I prayed and cried many days and nights alone but I have come along way by the grace of god alone. I still have my days but nowhere near like before. The main thing I struggle with now is my nerves and anxiety. Especially when outand about. But without even realizing I stopped smoking completely ( just cigarettes) for a good few years and when I smoked again it was awful. Till this very day I can’t smoke marijuana because I hate the way it makes me feel now. It’s so weird. I get so anxious and nervous I get quiet and I’m just like stuck inside nervous anxious paranoid thoughts and feelings it’s very strange that now it has that affect on me when before I was at my wits end at 27 I smoked all the time everyday and never felt anything but happy normal and chill.

    The truth is there is more to cannabis than the media will share. I agree the plant is not to blame; the misinformation is at the root here. People should be free to do as they wish but be informed about their actions. So many untruths regarding marijuana because there is a billion-dollar industry behind it. Thank you for your message!!

    Yes, you are right - a conversation will need to happen but that is not my field! The truth is there is more to cannabis than the media will share. I used drugs for over 20 years.. now, I just drink and smoke pot. I hold a job down, pay my bills and have meaningful relationships. Just because you had an issue with one drug in the past doesn't mean you have to never use anything again. Go at your own pace and figure out what works for you. Pot has made me so paranoid about other drugs that I don't see myself going back. I also didn't make any changes till I decided it was time to do so..

    Thank you for the insight! You are correct that it is always up to each of us to decide what is right for us.
