  I want respond to at least two of the themes you touched on during the first half of this episode…First, the concept of physical space and its impact on creativity and mental health. When you’re transitioning between touring and not touring, is the change to your sleep schedule difficult? Does the scheduling shift become disruptive to being able to do other things in daily life? I’ve been a night shift person for about 4 years and it’s still a struggle to balance my sleep schedule with doing basic tasks like keeping appointments or doing errands. The second thing I wanted to respond to is the practice of keeping a wall of achievements. Don’t stop doing that. As we move through life and try to stay sane in the face of toxic relationships, very stressful political and economic situations, or simply coping with our own crap, we have to maintain our own sense of identity. Seeing a visual reminder of the things that matter to you is very important for hanging onto what makes you you.

  Preach Ben! That George Carlin piece was so spot on and things have only gotten worse since he wrote it. I’ve actually had to say to my boss, “You don’t have to use the corporate speak with me.” I just wish people who feel the need to speak that way would understand they sound less credible and condescending. At the airport I wish they would just say, “Flight X, Get your asses to the gate, y’all!”

  I can explain with my comment of cats. It’s when they (well my two anyway) they knock every thing off and they play fight right under my feet. But I do have another. It’s working 12 (even 24 hr) shifts

  Me too I hate rainy weather especially at night I don’t like thunder noises I get anxiety and depression from it thunderstorms are my biggest worst fear 😧 the truth is thunderstorms scares me a lot at night my mom has to sleep with me in bed for support it wasn’t safe for me to sleep alone during thunderstorms at night so my windows were closed I have two in my bedroom my bed shakes sometimes I only feel vibrating because I’m deaf and hard of hearing 🧏 so the rain lasted from 12 pm to 4 pm it wasn’t long but I’m ok 🙂 thank god 😬

  Yeah I agree i started having fears of thunderstorms since age 20 it rained one time in 2020 at night my bed was shaking 🫨 you know the thunderstorm was heavy and yeah I got scared twice that night and my mom slept with me but I am ok I had music next to me to calm my anxiety down and the next day I feel better cause the rain passed it was long but it lasted around 4 am thunder sometimes woke me up eventually 🥰

  I couldn’t watch it live today because I had to work but loved the episode!! Reminds me of my mom who loses her car all the time. I always laugh when she takes a photo of the first sign she sees near the car as a landmark of sorts. Might be helpful for Ben though😂😂

  I totally agree with you my friends crowdsurfing are fun especially enjoying yourself having a great time I havent done crowdsurfing yet but I am planning that someday at a concert I haven't done that since I was a teenager great moment for you :)
