I just bought a bag of those pellets at my local Costco today I was wondering if they taste the same as the Traeger Gourmet blend of Hickory, Maple, Cherry ?
Does this still work
Freakin… I’m in Matthews!
@@bkent99 Cool! I am planning on actually offering a “Brisket 101” clinic sometime soon, it’s so hot. I may delay till later in the fall, but I will definitely post about it here and if you’re interested and can come, that would be great!
Sounds good, let me know. Im getting my Lone Star Pellet grill sometime in October… very excited!
Weren’t the 7th Cavalry Volunteers in the Battle of Wounded Knee?
Indeed they were... www.britannica.com/event/Wounded-Knee-Massacre
Thank you! This feature was the biggest reason I bought a reqteq!
Just got some. Got them going right now….
I've personally been using the Kirkland pellets fro several years now and I've been very happy with their performance. In the past I've used a number of different brands, Pit Boss, Bear Mountain, Lumberjack, I WON'T but Treager...And to 100% honest, I can't tell the difference between them and the premium brands.
Thanks for sharing your experience. We have done some reviews on bbq in NC and would definitely be interested in going here. It seems like a lot of fun and a little overwhelming all at the same time. How much did it end up costing you to eat here? Just curious. Great video!
@@vafunseekers The first time I went it was over $200 but we really got a ton of barbecue! I think this visit it was probably around $75 but it’s been a while so I’m not sure. But worth every penny!
I've been twice to John G's and it was expensive both times! I probably spent $60 or $70 for myself the second time, which is when made that video we're commenting on here... The first time we went was for my birthday in August 2022, right after we moved to NC from OK, and we spent over $200, it was the most I've ever spent on BBQ or maybe any meal. This the the video I made about that incredible experience: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kY6Hwdemg6azeag.html
show the grill results, not your face.
I appreciate your voice, Wes. I feel like this is a perspective so many of us need.
I’m not gonna lie, just walked out of Costco today with 40 pounds of Kirkland‘s pellets feeling like a true champion. I’m all throw that at my Yoder YS1500S. Kinda didn’t realize it at the time that this Yoder is a beast of a machine and needs to be fed. Thank you for your review. Makes me feel at ease for my purchase. By the looks of your Reqtec, you get a lot of good use out of it.

Approximately how long did it take for you to scrub the dirt off the racks after you took them out of the bag?
I'm not exactly sure since it's been awhile since I made that video, but I'm pretty sure it was less than 10 minutes.
so cool, congrats...AIM HIGH

So cute
Thank you for posting this, I was looking for something that would let me see what it will be like for my nephew on drop off day!
You are most welcome. Having experienced this as a parent last June and myself as a cadet in 1988, it’s definitely a momentous time not to be forgotten. I think many of the changes the Academy has made to both basic training and the fourth class year are positive and good.
Those pellets look huge! I'll bet thats the issue!
Could be! Thankfully, I’ve done hundreds of cooks and only ran into this problem once, so hopefully it will not recur.
My son just accepted the USAFA appointment. Thanks for letting me know about the I day drop off.
You are most welcome! Congratulations to your son and to your family. I definitely encourage you to join the parent Facebook groups for your class overall as well as for your state. Those have been pivotal points of contact for my wife and I this past year.
@@wfryer I already joined 4 FB Parents Groups. In fact, I shared this video on the Korean American parents FB group where I am most active.
Thanks! Not exactly the review I wanted to see now that I just got home from Lowe’s with a bottle of this. 😢 Guess I’ll give it a go regardless. I used to live in Matthews 1979-93 and started a few businesses up there. Great place and now when I pass through Charlotte, I hardly recognize it. Thanks for the review!
Hopefully, it’s worked better for you! I’m actually back to just using metal grill brushes. We do love Matthews, next time you are here I would encourage you to get a drink at Seaboard and have some pizza from “The Exchange” located next-door. That is definitely our favorite Matthews hang out downtown!
Tip. Don’t buy tallow. Pan the trimmings and smoke with brisket. Your trimming 2 pounds or so anyway so might as well use the meat and fat. Keep excess and build up like bacon fat. Plus the tallow is smoked
Thanks for sharing
Is there any type of digital record or index to indicate who was buried in this location..?
I’m not sure, but I’m hoping to connect with the organizers who were able to establish this memorial, and learn more. Generally, at graveyards for the former enslaved, there are not indices.
Sorry for the late reply, I am not sure, but I am hopefully going to attend an event at the Lincoln school by the Salisbury historic foundation this week on Thursday. They have a project to renovate the school and I will try and ask that question about the graves in the Dixonville cemetery. historicsalisbury.org
Junk, it broke when I removed the brush head while watching their video how to remove it. Very little force. Probably made in China
I have a question
What is it?!
Love that story.

Did you ever get licensed after visiting W4BFB?
No I did not, and I need to follow up on this!
Buddy, you are way too anal on the grill cleaning!
Thank you for sharing!! I had 2 cans of peaches and 1 can of pineapples left over from Christmas that I needed to use 😂
Awesome!
Make more videos with it 🙏🏾
I've made a few! I have them shared in this playlist... I made a new one this past Sunday cooking pork ribs: kzread.info/head/PLcCkQ9mj_ok_j1w8Vx8my3HN3VzmTi4BC
It looks like the business 🫡
Exactly what I was looking for, Medium P R.. Perfect and Thank You😊
So glad!
I love it! Thanks for a wonderful video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Jesus Christ for healing me I love you too 🙏

Ya’ll handled that song. Beautiful! And, yes. He is an on time God. Oh yes, He is.
Sir! I followed your cooking instructions for my first prime rib experience last christmas. It was perfect and medium well. Delicious, juicy!! I used butter and herbs and slabbed it all over the roast, reattached the bone and put in fridge over night. Thank you for the cooking instructions. It was delicious, family loved it!! This will be my new Christmas tradition. Perfect! 🎉
Fantastic! I am so glad to hear it! I've collected all my cooking videos in this playlist: kzread.info/head/PLcCkQ9mj_ok_j1w8Vx8my3HN3VzmTi4BC My recipes are on: food.wesfryer.com/
Son, how you let the bull get than bad dirty!? my joint look almost brand new(a year 1/2 old)
I used to clean it pretty thoroughly after almost every cook... I've found that's not as important, so I clean less often now.
2 things........#1, buy yourself a good slicing knife. If you can afford a Rectec smoker , you can afford a good if not great slicing knife. Come on man. A Victorinox knife or an electric knife might be better for you. Not a cleaver. #2...... Learn the proper way to slice a brisket point vs. flat. You sliced the point 100% with the grain, making it stringy. Lots of good KZread videos showing how to slice a brisket properly. Not trying to beat you up either. Just making an observation from a 26 year experienced butcher who has smoke and sliced over 500 briskets.
I agree totally! This was early on in my meat smoking days and I didn't know any better! I have a 'real' slicing knife now. :-)
YES SIRRRR!!!! 💪🏾👋🏾
You’re the one who convinced me to get on Twitter nearly a decade ago! Times change…
Yes... I really loved using Twitter and have connected to so many amazing people and ideas over the years. I'm quite sad at what has happened at Twitter, but also energized by what the Fediverse offers and by apps like Mastodon.
Hey Wesley. What neighborhood is this in Charlotte? You happen to know the cross streets?
I think we were driving on Colony at this point, this was in South Charlotte, near Providence and Rae road, I think…
@@wfryer are these roads you’re referencing? Driving on colony road and cross street of providence road and Rae road? Not from Charlotte. Looking into the area. That’s why I was curious. Thanks!!

Guys check out the BoyerBrush no water needed hot use and no bristle danger
This would have to be the most irresponsible catch of a snake I've seen. 1. It's a rat snake and not even venomous, so tailing it isn't an issue. 2. You aren't licenced to relocate and move them. 3. You just removed your problem, and gave that problem to someone else.
I moved the snake into the drainage area immediately behind our property, it is a common use area and not an individual’s property. Also, “For non-venomous snakes causing no property damage or danger, there might not be a specific requirement for a permit to simply move them out of your yard.” www.ncwildlife.org/Licensing/Regulations/Nongame-and-Other-Regulations/Wildlife-Depredation
@wfryer Comments indicated this was someone's yard, though you're stating it's not? Okay all good.
Also, Colonel James Harvey and others deserve the US Medal of Honor in leu of their great service to this country. I thank Mr. Wesley Fryer for providing this video to the KZread community and I challenge those who watch it to understand its true meaning!
This dude does not deserve the MOH lol
He still deserves to finally be recognized for his service and valor. They all do!!
More black racism.
What? Get out of here.
I agree, there was no racism in this ceremony. It was a touching moment, recognizing a US veteran and patriot.
