Don't want to make you jealous Dave but it's 30 degrees here in England today, where I live in Somerset in the SW of England it hardly ever snows we never had any at all the last 3 winters, coming from Auckland it must be a real novelty to see snow, you are certainly getting about in South Island, are you looking forward to getting back to Sub tropical Browns bay? it's a balmy 16 degrees from what I can see.

@@davethedutchmansabventures You are welcome Dave, when I moved to Milford with my parents in 1967 I attended Murrays Bay School, one of the first things the Kiwi kids asked me was, what was snow like? as they had never experienced it, I had to tell them that in the SW of England where I came from it hardly ever snowed, they were so surprised as they thought it snowed all the time, I did laugh.

The name Roaring Meg comes from the area's gold mining past. Along with the miners who were attracted to the area there were a number of "business women" who came to keep company with the men. One such woman was named Meg. The story goes that Meg made so much noise when being carried across the river that that stretch of water became known thereafter as "Roaring Meg".

Wow, there are some great bikes there, I bought my first motorbike at Hauraki Corner (North Shore m/c) in 1973. It's an unusual place to have them I had to laugh that the only one leaking oil was the British bike the Norton Commando lol, you are certainly getting around I'm looking forward to watching part 4 next.

It always amazes me how few cars there are on the roads once you leave Auckland, it makes driving a pleasure not a chore like it is here in England most of the time. I envy you for having all that road to yourself, keep up the trips maybe Browns Bay to Coromandel town, when I was on holiday there the last time (in 2006) it was one of my favourite drives up the west coastal road. It was good to see some of South Island as I have never been there myself so this is the next best thing, it's one o'clock in the morning here as I write this so it's off to bed, goodnight Dave.

New Zealand used to be so cheap for food, especially eggs milk meat, it now looks to be very expensive, people here in England moan about food prices they should watch your video they would soon stop complaining. I hope the wages are good as well, I enjoyed your walk around, I used to live in Takapuna as a child and regularly came back to Auckland on holiday with my wife until 2006 where I used to stay with a friend in Browns Bay, I'm surprised you never popped into speakers corner for a drink, I used to love it in there, if my wife gets her kidney transplant I would love to come back there again someday, thankyou for posting keep up the good work, I had a friend on board the ship (Southern Cross) going to NZ in 1967 he was Dutch, I called him Dutcher it wasn't you was it? lol.

Very good video of Sydney Harbour Dave The Dutchman. I have only been to Sydney on a stopover flight so only stayed at the airport. I'm north of Brisbane. Noticed the bird. An Ibis. Many People here call them Dump birds but I don't like that name. They do get into rubbish and make a mess and how they avoid getting hit by cars is amazing. 😄 Thank you for the look at Sydney Harbour. 🇦🇺✅🇦🇺✅
