Yes there's good theme park storytelling in Phantom Manor and in Frontierland. But there's times where some story beats don't work for everyone, especially in Phantom Manor. As for me, I am happy that the mystery of who the phantom in Phantom Manor is is solved. And I love the detailing of the attraction in the original and updated versions. Madame Leota is a treat to see for me no matter where she is. However, I don't like how Melanie went from sympathetic to basically taking the hitchhiking ghost spot of the phantom aka Henry Ravenswood (I understand she'd gone mad from being trapped in the house for so long, I mean who wouldn't? But I feel like it was forced storytelling wise.). And I would've liked more of a mix of the old with the new (i.e. keep the four suitors but also bring Jake in as well. And have the original stretching portraits alongside the newer ones, showing the curse that Melanie and her family are stuck with.) and more reason of why Henry was overprotective (now that we know Henry Ravenswood is the Phantom, I feel like it could come off as creepy, abusive, and/or incestuous in the wrong context if we don't get the reason why he's become overprotective of his daughter. Like a certain someone from one of my sister's favorite shows said, "Evil is not born, it is made."). If they must have Melanie take the hitchhiking ghost spot, why not have her desperately plead for help before being scared away by the Phantom shaking the carriage like in the original? I'm not someone who creates animatronics or theme park rides, but as a storyteller I would've done that. But to each their own.

One of these attractions at Disney World was sponsored by Easter Airlines THE WINGS OF MAN, tough Space Mountain at one time was sponsored by RCA , The Wings Of Man was definitely an attraction at WDW , My Dad liked that ride you would board a vehicle like that of the wee way people mover then as you were moved along the project Ions would simulate the motion of being on a jet plane along with narrative host voicing your journey😮😅😊

I wish that classic version of "Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for Me" was still playing in the caverns. For a brief time the song was removed from the Disneyland version after the first drop where you are plunged into that small grotto before the second drop, this was because there was a theory that the pirates had not yet "materialized" so how could they be singing? The song was thankfully put back. It would be nice if it came back to the opening cavern scene in the Florida attraction.

This probably would've been cool at a regional park with a super tight budget or something like that, but to replace one of the most intricately and thoughtfully designed rides ever made into what amounts to nothing more than simple optical illusions and loud noises? No thanks... Although the current one is a minor improvement, but it doesn't reach the imaginative heights of the original.

The cinematography is great. I am sure the whole video is. I had to stop it before they even got on the ride as the constant "video not for sale" whining was too distracting. We get it. You are not interested in selling your video. Stop smearing it all over the video. Post it at the beginning and end and be done with it. I really want to like this video but that is too distracting....

I was the manufacturing manager for Carroll Touch Technology which built the CIRCUIT ASSY's of scanning IR LED's that were mounted on all the CRT's inside the bezel for this enormous project at EPCOT. We also programmed the PROM's used in the basic touch environment. Such fun exciting days for laying the foundation of cutting edge technology. We also built the touch systems for the MIFASS govt. project. This was a gov. contract which required various assemblers to be certified. These assy's were built under the guidlines of (WS 6536 G)
