  No, once you apply the settings you don't need to run it in the background and yes the changes are made in the system registry

  try setting your MTU to 1492 or 1500, apply the settings and restart your pc. then try the largest mtu test, it should work now

  it depends on your connection type. you can check this in your router settings. if it is DHCP or any other type, leave the pppoe option unchecked. if it is pppoe, check the box and apply.

  no, that's actually not possible since the point of getting rid of the black bars is stretching the rest of the screen to fill the empty space. Since you have an ultrawide monitor, it probably has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and if you use 1080p (which is 16:9) it will surely bring black bars

  well it depends on your connection, hardware etc. that's why we apply the optimal settings first, and then modify some of the gaming tweaks in order to find the best possible settings for your specific hardware.

  you can't necessarily increase your ping by changing your settings, but you could run a few live streams or videos in the background to take up bandwidth so that your ping goes up

  I have a question that needs answering, under network adapter selection should I have it set to Realtek Wireless LAN if I use ethernet or should it be set to Intel Ethernet I've tried changing it to see if there's any difference but every time I relaunch my PC it's back on Realtek?

  if you check the "modify all network adapters" box underneath the selection list, it should modify the settings for all the adapters present on your pc, you wouldn't have to choose one. If you like, you can watch my latest video on TCP optimizer, it'll clear your doubt

  @@72creed thank you for the quick response bro wasn’t sure if that was choosing which adapter to prioritise, just got new WiFi installed and ever since I’ve been having issues in game (warzone) like rubber banding etc yet my latency & ping is lower then it’s ever been, still trying to find a fix at the moment I’ll check it out

If that's the case for you, go ahead and try TCP optimizer first and if it doesn't work (and if you would be interested) I have a full network optimization service where I remotely connect to your PC, then analyze and resolve the issue for you! I have recently worked with clients that play Warzone as well and helped them resolve their issues.

  I need help it doesn't change the network adapter. I tried changing it from this family controller to my wifi's network adapter then clicked apply changed but everytime after rebooting it just stays as family controller

  did you check "apply to all adapters"? if so, then the settings would have been applied to all the adapters present on your system, not just the one you select
