  This vehicle could benefit from a drop down external rear parcel shelf. A huge issue for many commuters is getting the tools (or musical instrument or whatever) to work/place of study. Anyway, I wish it every success. So far, it is the electric assist vehicle which most impresses me in view of its capabilities and projected price.

  get the price down for regular production and you'll see these everywhere you would see a motorcycle or moped. It's too practical for basic transportation to not take off.

  @vincentl.9469 true, as well as being pricier to maintain, at least at first. The monoracer fits a niche between bikes and tiny cars, and I doubt it would go over with people who would usually buy a cruiser or dual sport

  @@behindthewolfseyes another option is a single seater with a luggage rack at back. That would make it shorter and lighter and cost less to make...but the stumbling block remains winning people over. Without demand, it will always remain niche and costly ..

  Previous attempts at screw drives like this have shown that the screws move the boat forward, or backward, reasonably well in water. The speed of the screws was varied to steer. On land it was found to have so much friction trying to go forward, or backward, that it didn't work very well. The answer on land was to drive sideways with the rollers acting like wide wheels. The screw drive effect was only used to steer. This solved the friction problem with the sand. It actually did work. In water not as good as a propeller or jet. On land not as good as a dune buggy. Make a small dingy sized version. Leave the big boat at anchor and use it to get on and off the beach. Don't try to drive it cross country on land. Just crawl up above the high tide line. Reply
