I think the reason for Melissa acting the way she acted was due to the fact that her mother's death was not properly addressed if this is the case. I think she sees her stepsister and her stepmom as threats since she never truly came to terms with the death of her mom. This resulted in her bullying which was not stopped, fault of the parents, especially her dad. I am not sure if this is the case but if it is, addressing this could really help her. She can let go of whatever grudge she has against her family and she can change as well as move on.

Thank God my parents are still together. my fiancee betrayed me after that. I decided to cut off anyone who does that I don't care who it is. Even if I found out one my parents cheated before I was born they would dead to me. Giving sympathy or forgiveness for betrayers is just betraying yourself.
