Question. In ur early stages of growing ur locs did u not use clippers when u retwisted like how u didn't use them in this video
@@yugen.k.escobar45 I did! I no longer use them cause my hair is longer and now and has weight so the retwist stays in place without the clips.

Thanks for the amazing advice!❤ I currently have locs which are 2 yrs old but I’m thinking it’s best to comb them out as my density does not match the size of the parts, my hair has thinned so much with post partum shedding and continues to break😢. I think a fresh start is best and I’ll definitely incorporate your tips.

Heyy, I was told that by interlocking it will be more difficult (or impossible) to eventually comb the locs out in future, is this true?🥰
@@awathiaw03 I would think so, the interlocking basically creates a braid like knot in your loc. I can’t imagine that being easy to comb out!

Hair looks amazing. Side note: I don’t know if you’ve seen this before but it may be worth it for you to screen mirror to your tv to record your retwists. That way you get the view you need and also the content without having to change anything up too much.

Your locs are beautiful! What oil did you put in your hair after the leave in?? I have sisterlocs and have put nothing other than distilled water in my hair for the last 13 months. I can't complain but the product junkie in me want to try something...😂😂😂

Very helpful video, I started similar to you comb coils-interlocks-retwist. Debating on getting interlocked again since my roots don’t seem to be locking at all
Im from queens living in Atlanta. I hate it here. The law messed up. The ppl weird. Food isn’t as good in my opinion. Everything in atlanta over hyped. Overpriced. Job market trash w a degree imagine without.

I’m born and raised in the Bronx moved to Douglasville which is 30 mins from Atlanta about 4 years ago (retired). I literally came back from visiting NY. I like visiting NY now lol. Definitely cheaper for me saved a lot on car insurance lol 😅. I do miss the ease of just jumping on the train everywhere. I enjoy the High museum the first Friday of the month which is very nice (music and dancing) that’s my turnup lol, restaurants, wineries and just a nice private soft life. I stay away from the nightlife.
I actually know Douglasville! I’ve been there quite a few times since I moved. It’s nice over there, very calm 🥰 Thanks for the heads up about the High Museum, I keep hearing about it so I’ll have to check it out!!

I am a Native born New Yorker from Brooklyn and it's so sad to me that native middle class New Yorkers cannot live comfortably ! 😤 That’s our home! Like what are they trying to do exactly ? Make New York a place only the rich and famous can reside ? Make it like Singapore? I'm so confused. The older I get I’ve come to realize NYC is “old money” . it’s for people sitting on generational wealth. The up and coming much less the native middle class don’t stand a chance there. It’s a shame cause I truly LOVE NYC but I can’t see myself thriving there. Thank you for the warm wishes!!! 🥳

How do I get that thickness? Also your hair doesn’t have buildup what locking gel do you use?
I use loc n gel! I don’t style my hair often and I retwist every 4 weeks. Having a routine helps to prevent breakage and will keep locs from thinning 🫶🏾💫
