"If you're in a boat and you jump, do you fall off the boat.?" Technically depends on how high you jump. If you're inside and you jump, you will be in the relatively same spot. You don't have any forces pushing you away from the spot and you're effectively going the same speed as the boat.Now, say you were outside, wind speed and your jump distance is going to effect your landing.You are going the same speed as the boat, but the wind is now pushing you in a direction.

She said that she has a habit of swallowing air, and couldn't just burp where she used to work, so she got into the habit of hicing instead of just burping at the workplace.
