Great looking car! C6 Grand Sport here... thinking of powder coating the grey breaks to red. Any advice on how the Corvette decal does not melt or peel off? Is there a clear coat applied on top after the decal and paint process? Others say just buy red calipers with corvette already on them. Any help would be great!

you’re so right about the cyber gray having blues in it! I just got my 2010 Grand Sport in Cyber Gray and I’m cleaning it and could clearly see the blue speckles!!! I got mine in convertible. My next one will be a coupe like yours. Nice review!

This is odd. I thought all grand sports had dry sump and 2 oil drain plugs?!?! You have a non dry sump grand sport.

I looked it up. Automatic c6 grand sports don't have the dry sump 🙌. Learn something new everyday!

Awesome video, love the c6 grand sport . Why did you get rid of your c7 ? I’m out in the Houston area. New to the channel so my apologies if you answered this question already. I had a c7 with z51 but sold it. Felt very underwhelming. Thought about picking up a c6 GS or c7 GS once the prices come back down on the c7

I got the 7 speed manual C7 thinking I’d like it but I just didn’t. All of my vehicles now are manual except my Corvette, actually, lol, but the C7 manual was just weird. I was underwhelmed with the car as well, granted it was a base model. Plus at the time I wanted to lower my car payment which I was able to do transitioning from a C7 to a C6GS.

@@RandomCarGarage Makes sense to me. Well the c7 base/ z51 was the same power it was a good car and quick. I wish I waited for the c7 GS though because of the wider body and better tires, brakes suspension and other things. I will always get a manual because of the power limitations of the automatic transmission and I just prefer manual sports cars. I might consider a c6 GS because they just look so nice albeit the interior is quite dated but that’s not why we buy these cars. I want a black c6 or carbon flash if I can find it. Congratulations on your car it’s very clean and subtle. If I get a c6 I will procharge it or single turbo to be different.

@@RandomCarGarage hey quick question if you don’t mind. I’m in Houston Texas, I found a 2012 c6 grand sport with 49k miles on it for 38g is that a good deal? It has the clear roof, lt4 package and it’s the centennial edition. Also has cords exhaust, intake and kooks long tube header. One owner.

I've seen several Spyder reviews and they all seem to note how the broad stance of the front wheels make them very sensitive to road irregularities. On roads that have 'irregular pavement' the steering will pull in that direction. I road a neighbour's older fully loaded touring model with factory side and top cases, and it pulled to the side with every uneven patch of pavement. I had to be constantly alert to this, since when the trike shifted to one side inertia pulled me in the opposite direction, causing me to jerk the handlebars in the direction of the uneven pavement, causing it to turn even harder in that direction. To me this was a serious potential safety hazard that made relaxed travel almost impossible. Hopefully the newer versions have addressed this with changes in suspension geometry and weight distribution that reduce this effect. However even some newer reviews mention how the wheels 'follow road irregularities', so it may not be something that's totally fixable...

That knob does not adjust the shock spring. It's rebound, not sag. Sag is adjusted on the shock with a spanner wrench.

Should put a mild converter in it...Makes an auto more fun to drive and faster and its totally streetable. 2800 would be perfect.
