  Hi there! I'm in the process of packaging a new food product using a heat sealer, but I'm having trouble getting the sealed line to be wide enough for my needs. I'm currently using a basic model and the seal line is only 1-2 mm wide, a very thin line, and even on the lowest setting, it melts through the plastic too quickly, resulting in an untrustworthy seal. I've considered using a non-stick barrier like Teflon to help spread the heat more evenly, but I'm not sure where to find it or what thickness would be best. Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to achieve a wider seal and one that burns through less quickly with my heat sealer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  Hello! Impulse Heat Sealers can seal thermoplastic (heat-sealable) materials, including heat-sealable laminations. Paper alone is not a heat sealable material and therefore is not suitable heat sealing applications. Best, Team TPK
