Hello there we see some desciripacy in terms of audio quality kindly submit your proposal
So… this doesn’t work at all for me, it starts the clone, then at step 5 says something like “the computer must be restarted to synchronize with the OS”, then I restart, & it doesn’t resume, and if I try to clone again, it just restarts the clone & now I’m stuck in a loop… :-/
I assume you are cloning inside Windows. Try cloning via the bootable media instead. As workaround you can create a backup and then restore this backup to a new drive. Should you need additional assistance please contact our support team to clarify this issue.
The Resolution of the images shown is too poor to read. =(
Does not work anymore unfortunately. Would help showing what permissions the user account has or where it is created. Even with a customer company admin account, it fails.
I do not I fully understand the issue - the Acronis account is used just for registering the machine, so no special permissions there. Please help, I don't want this feature scan the devices of my local network. How can I turn it off and never rescan anymore?
@tuanonwe, at 0:27 you can see a clickable button "Enable passive device discovery".
@@Acronis Thank you, I seen this but this feature not effect immanently after I'm disabled this option. I'm able to "Run Active Scan" and it's still worked. May I ask you how long it take to affecting after disabled "Enable passive device discovery" ?
@@tuanonwe That is expected behavior if you intentionally initiate active scan - www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/CyberProtectionService/#active-device-discovery.html
Hi! Device Sense uses passive scanning. So it simply listens for the traffic passing via selected workloads with Acronis agent installed. Device Sense DOES NOT perform active network scanning.
I contantly get gerror when I try to login using the token. I do not know what the problem is
The description of the issue is pretty vague, It might help if you could clarify what exactly the error is. Before creating a token, try logging in with an end-user account. As a quick workaround try using login and password instead of token. Should you need additional assistance - do not hesitate to contact our support team.
@@Acronis Thank you for the respond. When I try to login with token i get the error the registration failed. I have the image but sadly cannot upload it here. When I try to login usin the username and password it just hangs on the login screen and says connecting. I waited for around 35minutes but nothing happens. I do not know if sth is wrong with Acronis Servers.
As you've tried at different times already - I do not think that is something with our servers. At this point there's not much I can suggest here as it requires a closer look by our support team involving logs analysis.
I was recovering a (whole pc) back up file to my new pc with Acronis true image and accidentally turned off the pc when it restarted. I did this because my screen was black and the computer was on so I thought it was on some kind of sleep mode. When I turned it on again I got the bit locker screen and the computer just restarted after 3 minutes. I tried recovering again however I got another bit locker screen and I put in the security key this time and it took me back to the regular screen. I tried again and got the same thing, is there anyway to fix this problem. I want to transfer my whole pc (laptop) to my brand new computer. But I keep getting the recovery error, I am making a new back up to see if it solves the problem.
It's not clear what exactly went wrong and at what stage. If you are not sure that the recovery operation is complete, then try formatting the destination drive and start the recovery operation again. Also check the knowledge base articles about BitLocker kb.acronis.com/content/62662 & kb.acronis.com/content/56619 to make sure you've done everything correctly - for example, backup was created while Acronis True Image was running in Windows and not under bootable media. Should you need additional assistance - do not hesitate to contact support team.
please universal restore option not. found when try make recovery
If you are using Acronis True Image OEM edition provided by ssd\hdd drive vendors then Universal Restore is not available as these editions are limited in the functionality. Universal Restore is available in the trial of the full edition.
easy to back up but terribly difficult to figure out just how to load a backup to an external drive.... very annoying. and backup/recover/clone terminology is confusing. what's the difference between a backup and a clone?
In short, backup means creating image of your system and storing it on an external drive or a cloud storage, you can then restore your whole computer from that image. Cloning on the other hand is copying your old drive into to another, without storing that as an image file somewhere else. You can learn more about Backup vs Cloning in this dedicated knowledge base article: kb.acronis.com/content/1540 What do you mean by 'load a backup to an external drive'? How is this word Unlimited thrown around when the storage still costs 1.50USD per gigabyte? There are also no options on what to back up, when, and for how long to retain. I restored a physical machine to a VM with Acronis . I did not press "Finalise" as I am afraid to do it... What should I do to ensure I have a backup of that Acronis made VM machine??
'Run as VM' in most cases is used for testing. You need to Finalize the vm before using it in full manner as any network disconnection will delete the VM. For better understanding, 'Run-as-VM' + 'Finalize' is equal to a full recovery.

BSOD is right... that's all I have ever got from this software. I purchased Acronis True Image 2021 for my business... never been able to clone a single bootable drive. And yes, I put in the SSD into the laptop and clone off the USB... it says successful. And it does show the Windows spinner, but always gives some kind of BSOD bad config error or something. Worst cloning software I have ever used. My experitise... I program dozens of languages, been in business for 23 years, used older cloning software for decades that worked, but purchased this to resize disks from say a 500GB Toshiba HDD to a 480GB SSD... this software NEVER works... waste of money. Save yourself some time and just buy a drive that matches the other drive exactly, and do a 1:1 clone in a docking station which is what I will have to do with this Dell Inspiron 15 now.
Sorry to hear about your experience! Symptoms such as BSOD after cloning in some cases might indicate corrupted BCD and bootloader. To understand the reasons behind it please get in touch with our support team to conduct a proper investigation.
@@Acronis thank you for getting back to me. The laptop is already back with the customer. To save from taking the laptop apart again... I just partition destroyed the SSD, then did the long process of reinstalling windows, all their APPS, settings, and programs. A 1.5 hour job (cloning) ended up taking 7+ hours (reinstall, updates, reinstall all their software, profiles, browsers, sync, email, data transfer from the old drive and so on and so on). I was considering just cloning a 500GB to 500GB 1:1 in my docking station but had already opened the 480GB SSD and stuck it in... I was just fed up with myself for wasting my time on this software AGAIN. Sorry, but, this is 6 or 7 clones and not one of them worked. The files were there on both the source and destination so it did do SOMETHING... but, I don't know why the BSOD. The source drive was fine, just insanely slow. There were NO bad sectors. It's possible the previous clones did not work BECAUSE I did not know you had to clone with the SSD already inside the drive. Why that should matter makes no sense at all. I assume it was because the software wanted to hash the machine or something for a piracy check. Who knows. The previous restores I cloned from my main machine from USB to USB because in reality... it shouldn't matter... you take what's on USB Drive #1 and write to USB Drive #2... you don't NEED the drive IN the computer. So, it's possible that's why the previous ones failed... HOWEVER... this time I tried cloning it with my main machine again... no luck... so, I went onto your docs thinking... what the heck is wrong...!?!??! THEN I realized that the SSD had to be inside the laptop first. OK, no big deal. I did exactly that... and it STILL failed. So... I give up. 6 or 7 jobs that could have been simple clones ended up being multi hour long reinstalls or more expensive for the customer to get a 500GB SSD instead of the lower cost 480GB SSD's. In a heavy duty laptop, I would use Seagate SSD's... but in casual use laptops, to save $40 I use Kingston SSD's. They work fine but don't last as long as the Samsung ones. BUT, they still last many years which is all this customer wanted. I've given up on this software. I'm just going to tell customers... You may only have 200Gb of data... but your drive is 500GB... you'll need a Samsung 500GB and I can 1:1 clone it with my docking station. It would have been nice to get even ONE clone that worked with this software. I also already cancelled my subscription once I realized it was a subscription... I don't care about cloud storage. I just want to pay ONCE for a cloning software. Cloning software doesn't need a subscription. It can either read a file system and partitions... or it can't... I won't be paying for this ever again and to be honest... I am sorry I supported this company. If you want to know how to do subscriptions properly without annoying people... look at how Jet Brains (PHP Storm) does their licensing ... seriously... it makes me WANT to give them money. It's the BEST I have ever seen for licensing and subscriptions. It's so good, it makes me want to buy a copy just to give them money. I can't stand subscriptions for software that doesn't NEED subscriptions. Acronis v2024 - Supports these partitions and these OS's... buy it today! 1 time fee! Then IF they change the partitions or some new logic is needed for the extra nonsense partitions windows creates all over the place... then add in another... Acronis v2025 now supports Win 12 New Partitions... LOL! Then I wouldn't have had issues with the subscription. Anyways, I'm just going to clone stuff 1:1 from now on. Save myself frustration and headache. Docking stations = never failed to clone a drive yet!
@@Acronis Friendly tip... I want STATS when watching a clone. How do I know your software isn't spinning in a loop? I want a checkbox or a preference. "Show stats when cloning"... Please wait... reading sector 1... restructuring partition from 430GB down to 400GB... please wait... reading sectors 0 to 1000 into ram. Writing sectors 0 to 1000 from ram. Etc... Can't stand software that hides everything and you're sitting there wondering... is it doing anything? So, you walk away and come back and back again, and come back to see a tiny progress bar slowly crawling across the screen so slow you can't even tell if it moved since the last time you looked at it...
Sir Here a description of my problem : I have 2 Pcs, one new HP OMEN 45L GAMING GT2-000x ( a yer old ,win11; 16 Gig RAM)) bought for video editing and an older ASUS tower (over 10 years old win 10 Pro 16Gig RAM). My HP after a year can' t find windows at startup, I tried to retrieve the backup with a bootable USB in acronis true image 16 without any success. The HP didplaying " 3F0" error at boot . I have also a full backup of the HP created less than 4 weeks ago on" acronis true image 2016 and saved on an external drive a WDC drive 8To installed in a usb case. The backup was verified after creation successfully with acronis. I planned to take the "NVMe 1 To SSD" out of the HP motherboard and install it in a "Plugable NVMe SSD USB 3.1 GEN 2 " enclosure, and connect it on a USB port of my OLD ASUS (win 10 Pro) PC, to retrieve the full backup of the HP OMEN located on the 8 To WDC drive. I am over 3 weeks without my HP booting...... Questions: 1- Is it possible to do it that way ? 2- How to get rid of the existing win 11 that doesn't boot. Remember the asus is on win 10 pro ? 3- How to retrieve the backup to the HP NVMe 1 To SSD ? Thanks a lot for your help
I just need Acronis for making backups. It does that job well. THE PROBLEM IS RESTORING THE BACKUP. It won't make a simple bootable USB drive and the F11 feature fails also. I only back up my windows operating system and when it won't start I need a bootable way to get to my backups. They are so into all their new security features they ignore their primary purpose of backups.
You can make a bootable media to restore your backups. You can either use a bootable media builder or use a tool like Rufus to burn the ISO image to a USB-flash drive.

Too late for me 💀
I am trying to restore a recent backup, my drive failed, and I replaced it with the same model drive, and I put in the Bootable DVD and I get the Acronis True Image and I select the tibx file and select the backup date and time. When I get to the destination, my new drive is gray, and it doesn't let me select it. I tried with an unformated disk and I formated it to ntfs, but I can not get it to allow me to select it. I used 2017 Acronis and it made TIB files and I used it for years and never had an issue. This is the first time I have needed to restore a backup with the Acronis 2023 and it is the first time working with a TIBX file. WHY is the new drive grayed out? What do I need to do to restore the backup to a drive? I tried 2 new drives and they both showed up as Gray and won't allow me to select them as the destination. Is it a space issue? The former version of True Image would restore to a smaller drive without a problem. It seems like this new version has a lot of problems with it.
