So why was Steve fired? I have a feeling it was because the staff (specifically Danny, Travis, Sam, and Erock) pushed him out at the first opportunity, and Opie (who resented that Steve made him and Anthony pay him to get the rights to their old videos back) just didn’t go to bat for him.

I forgot the story. But I know Opie AND Ant didn't care for Steve. But I always heard Opie proactively pushed him to get fired. While Ant just didn't give a damn and did nothing to help. That's what I heard. Remember they always busted Steve's balls for stamping 'Foundry Music' on their early KZread content. They joked on the show about it 100 times. But they weren't really kidding. It annoyed them. And other things. Ant's then friend Danny also didn't like Steve... Although now Ant and Danny had a falling out supposedly over theft. Danny let some unknown dirtbag in Ant's house that supposedly robbed him. Plus there's always weasel Sammy doing... I hate to accuse someone... but c'mon... Sam is one slippery snake. He's the kind of guy to get someone fired just so he can joke about it to try to make friends. But I'm guessing... I just suspect Sam was in the ingredients of Steve's downfall. Just a hunch. *I could be totally wrong on everything above. Whatever.

I mean, Steven Carlisi. Opps. But clearly O&A didn't have too much love for Steve. When 'management' (which secretly could have been O or A or O&A) let him go they didn't do much to reversre that... and later they both showed they didn't do anything, in fact, to help him except feign sadness. "Oh, no way... they fired you, dude? That's bullshit!" [while actually thinking to themselves... so what, who cares, nice knowing you.] And we know this is true because.... look what happened!!!!!

Staff had absolutely nothing to do with Steve and anyone who thinks otherwise just proves they're own ignorance. When you don't want to come to work 20% of the time while selling O&A their own videos back, you're not projecting the kind of work ethic that should be coming from the Executive Producer. If I was Opie or Anthony, I wouldn't want the fucking guy working for me either after all that. Having the ability to take an on air beating doesn't doesn't make for a stellar Producer. Fucking people base everything they know about the guy from the relatively miniscule fraction of airtime he had and conveniently ignore the other 7 hours and 59 mins of the workday. Intern David was one of a kind. Seriously. You have your handful of legendary interns but David was such a personality and so iconic on the show that no one comes close. Any newer listeners that recently discovered O&A on here, I HIGHLY recommend listening to the entire Intern David playlist. He’s a radio gem. Lol
