One thing that annoys me is saving your sessions and the create date is the same internal date that doesn't change. I was hoping with the upgrade to version 2 you would be allowed to save with the create date reflecting the current date. I have had the td17-kvx for several years and love the built-in metronome and coach features, but I don't like adding the create date as part of the file name as an alternative.
If you can, get a Hipshot B-Bender
with most brands, such as PRS .. it all comes down to which line... PRS Private Stock, are hot and selling very well, PRS CE and SE... no, market if flooded. Same goes to Gibson .. higher end Custom Shop are on fire.. normal USA not so much.
Pay for food regardless, I cannot look at guitars of hate (import sharp nut) nor bond with 7 plus. You think of the Beatles adding Strat Caster to the Backers. A mirror LP in addition to Jimmys LP for Zep. You dont think of Corgan, Hendrix with reissues, pre distress, several Asian brands, et cetera. Its all ridiculous.
There is no Eat it Too Bad. I got like 80 bucks or less for 400 plus buck used imports. Had to try em, blah blah. Turns out Epiphone laurel not actually Custom Paul, isnt Custom Paul. Not 2004 Supreme ok
I don't want a Johnny Marr Jag, it's too obvious a choice for the music I play! Arrrrrghhhhhh
My sales have been completely dry for a few months.
woderful guitar playing you are alsome! nothing can't beat the feder jazz mater i was looking at a nother video a guy had jazz master copy, and it sound terrible i made a comment about it i said that must be a fender jazz master copy his guitar didn't have the name fender on it i did not say it to be rude and he rote back to me a nasty comment and it got wores when i looked at that video at first he said that ugly guitar he had is better than fender and i had a fender guitar! myself i don't care what anyone say fenders are the best guitars in the world happy 70th anniversery great video.
Buy used, Don't maintain more than 5 instruments, keep 2 forever. No difficult math. But hey, go big, lose big. Stay small, lose little
Wise words to live by indeed
Wicked true. I got a Lp Deluxe, Mojotone Strat, and 3rd will be Mojotone HSS. Down from import sheet. And wicked overpriced recent production USA offerings.
Man, I actually really love the stripe placement on the mustang. Very unique. I have a 69 competition mustang with standard stripe.
Personally I would have kept both. If the Pro2 Tele is anything like the Pro2 Strat, you may regret letting it go.
It’s been a few years, haven’t looked back since but I’ve had that happen with other guitars
Only clowns think of guitars as investments
Outside of the extremely expensive vintage stuff the average person cannot afford, it’s true.
The Vintera II criticisms are a little picky. They're great guitars; just too expensive.
They also look atrocious and are modeled after Fenders worst decade in history because they are that out of touch
I am understanding you do not want to talk about politics and tried not to here but it is truly the reason for this state of country. to think people believe the media lies about inflations or anything of serious importance after this past 5 years is inexplicable to me with all of the evidence in front of them
I just don’t see any positive in talking about politics in depth on here. It just causes people to get angry.
I am not immune to the high end items, but you see Fender doing anything this last decade but muddy the freakin waters? Professional? Player? Talk about cause people to get angry. Its a scam to justify huge MSRP jumps. All bs. Not that Players of Pros are bad though. They will probably cost 2 k soon.
to be fair Fender from 2012-2017 made the best vintage reissues in the companies history, but then decided they were doing too good of a job and went back to making lesser guitars with worse paint, specs, and QC while increasing prices.
Great vid. The pencil eraser is brilliant, thanks. Bet a lots of folks are looking to dye their laurel fingerboards. I have purchased laurel finger boards as attractive any I've seen, and as ugly. As a pro I use lots of shellac to seal anything I don't want a finish or fill on before I tape it off. Sands back to clean. Frog Tape. Paste wax also seals out glue and some finished.
Why won’t Vox make a proper phantom or teardrop reissue?
This sounds like a good time to buy a PRS if your a fan and i am a fan lol, Cus 24 with 36th anniversaries baby and its on!
you'd be shocked if you just ask shops what their best prices are right now,
im so done trying to downsize, last year was not great but this is just next level crappy! I have one Les Paul Studio on Reverb that i will be pulling very soon, may as well be playing the thing if its not gonna sell.
Watching this stream now after missing it last night! I've been dumping out effects pedals and modellers and turning the money into guitars. Sold two line 6 pod gos to buy my CIJ Lake Placid Blue Jag. I think while I'm still lucky enough to hold on to a fairly large collection I'll just keep all the guitars since 90% of it is the good Japanese stuff. But everything else can go really!
All ya really need is one Van Zandt tele, strat, and an offset and you can sail off into the night hahaha
I would love to see Fender Japan do an OG scale Duo Sonic. The only MIM guitar I have that I can't replace with an MIJ is the OG scale Duo Sonic. Flamingo Pink is such a nice color. CME has some Pacific Peach stuff (sadly, no Mustangs) that kind of scratches that Flamingo Pink itch, but not quite. While on the subject of pinks -- I just got my LPB Jaguar from Japan, and it's real nice, but man I still find myself longing for that Shell Pink finish I had on that Squier Jaguar. Apparently, Fender Japan did do a Shell Pink Jaguar, but I missed out on that!
I had two of the shell pink jag FSRs :(
I’m with you. I love Duo Sonics. Bought one and really dug its feel and sound and unique body shape and smaller headstock. Liked it so much I picked up another with a humbucker in the bridge. It’s kind of like a short-scale Tele meets a Strat.
We need a proper AVRI Jag in Charcoal Frost.
They’d screw it up and not give it a matching headstock
@@AudiomoMusic I’m afraid you are right.
No, they don't sound different. Different pickups sound different.
Categorically false but that’s cool
You call it "falling off a cliff". I call it stabilizing
I mean that’s one way to see it but observing everything else’s prices to me it’s far deeper than just the guitar market stabilizing, if anything it’s completely unstable and will destroy some small businesses long term for reasons that have nothing to do with guitars.
@@AudiomoMusic yes it's called a recession those happen cycles
@@carsonyuh compare where we are with the data from the Great Depression, we are well past recession but the facade remains to many.
@@tomasodriziola you dont think we've had recessions since the 20s?
@@carsonyuh no, I'm saying this "recession" is worse than the Great Depression and all of the data proves it. This is beyond a normal cycle
Missed the livestream, but im glad to see this coming up with the guitar market. It really is falling off a cliff and is the best time to buy. I bought a brand new 594 S2 10th Anniversary last week for $1,600. The store needed to move it to make room so, I snagged it so fast.
Nice man, did you get a double cut or a SC?
@@AudiomoMusic the 594 McCarty. Its awesome!
Love to hear it, enjoy it!!
Both wings are part of the same bird. Amen. And thank you.
Anytime man.
Downsized from 4 guitars to 2 guitars for the sake of space and never played the 2 that I sold. Lost over $1,000 because Ultra Strats depreciate faster than a Nissan Altima. I was comfortable eating it because I put the money from it towards a new amp, but it was an oof moment.
Ultra strats always scared me, even in the last few years they were on sale on a regular basis in mint condition at Dave’s Guitar shop for under $1500
@@AudiomoMusic I saw used ones in fair condition going for $1k and knew I just had to eat that loss. The shop I sold mine to pointed out the scratches on it from buckle rash and some above the pick guard and I tried to spin it as a journeyman relic. Got a laugh but no increase in value.
Missed the show - will play back
hows the song writing going rex
A brand new in the box MIM Fender Tele can be had right now for $499. Have been downsizing my collection for several months. Have sold six, one more to go. I got in at really good prices so have been able to actually make a little getting out. Down to the guitars I want to keep and not sell unless in dire need. Going to sit on the sidelines for now, no new acquisitions unless something I really really want comes along at the right price. Cheers!
Yep, it’s a gradual thing but sometimes it’s what’s absolutely needed. Less money on strings too!!
Jim its so much more than just the guitar market my friend! Be prepared 🙏🏼😇🙏🏼
Oh it's much worse than this for sure, who knows maybe one day i'll have had enough and start posting videos about the real problems in society hahah
That's some lovely playing mate
appreciate it, really rushed this one
I like the new ones better
I really loved your look on this guitar :) I am really enjoying mine these days ... BUT I can't take it to jam everywhere because of the tuning stability. Do you think that if I swap the current tuners (roto super rotomatics 109) with their locking tuners counterpart (roto 509) it would improve it ? I never made such a change but I was really thinking about it because I love this guitar :) My version is without the tremolo system so it's not a tremolo problem !
if it's not stable without a trem, the tuners likely aren't the culprit - it's the nut. Replace the nut and I'll bet everything is perfectly fine with it after
Wow @@AudiomoMusic... that's a very cool answer :) I'll take her to a luthier then, maybe he will change the nut and set the intonation straight
Lies! We need more than just “A” Telecaster, we need several Telecasters
I admit, i have a few telecasters myself hahaha
I bought a v2 blue sky and by the time i got it payed off i ended up $500.00 dollars in that pedal ❤
hard to say with just fast strumming... but even then, the bootstraps sounded better than the fodder that comes with a 150 dollar guitar.
Thank you for the video! I think I may be ordering a HB!
Any time!
the Vintera II and Johnny Marr Jaguar are so sweet. I own and absolutely love them both.
Hell yes it's worth the $1100 price.
I bought this amp and hated it. Dark, fizzy, noisy. The single Tone Knob is just an error, the channel switching just gives you more grunge of a grungy tone. This amp is the contrary of versatile. I returned it, and the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV is just miles above with a superb clean for half the price. Just buy a very good pedal or two and the Hot Rod Deluxe IV sounds absolutly glorious I bought a Benson Preamp, and that combo kills the Falcon Grande in terms of tone, versatiliy.. Never an overpriced Tone King again. Hype
I was really bummed by this amp. I had used the Gremlin for years and really did enjoy it outside of the lack of headroom with humbuckers and no reverb tank. This amp really didn't do much for me and the issues with QC turned me off entirely. Stoked you got what you wanted and made it work - big fan of the benson preamp pedal.
Yes, the HRD4 is a great amp. The Benson Preamp sounds gorgeous with it. I cannot recommend It more
I absolutely will grab a '70s Vintera 2 to go with my '60s Vintera. Those things are badass with the maple board and blocks. Cool to see Fender mixing it up. (PS: They know what sells and what doesn't better than anyone, including you. Stop pretending you have some special insight into the market.)
Yeah man, they know the guitar market so well they managed to screw their financials so badly ( due to moronically thinking the massive covid guitar boom was going to last forever and over manufacturing guitars ) that after their best sales year in history they fired 300 workers in the Corona factory in a single day late last year for purely monetary reasons. Also the massive acoustasonic launch and investment really did well for them hahahahahaaha really knew the market for those
@@AudiomoMusic LOL If they weren't selling enough Strats and Teles to stave off layoffs, offering a new Jag with your favorite specs and color was never going to do it.
"PS: They know what sells and what doesn't better than anyone" I'm still having a laugh at that, thanks I needed it
Most of my guitars are vintage Fender style guitars and the reality is most people do not want a vintage spec jaguar. Most people do not want the 3 switches. The 3 switches system doesn't work for 90% of players and is not ideal live. Prices on japanese ones on reverb are bizarre scalper prices. Go import one through an online dealer.
Live I actually preferred the sliders playing surf and garage rock. It took a bit to get used to coming from a Telecaster but it became second nature really quickly and it's really intuitive in it's own right albeit I agree - not for everyone. I've been importing direct from Japan for a long while now, my problem is they haven't ever made a production nitro finished vintage spec'd jag. They've done it with the Jazzmaster and it is absolutely superb - if they ever add the Jag to the Heritage line i'll be the first one to import it haha.
Just bought a red one. Can’t wait to get it.
Love to hear that, dakota red i'm assuming?
@@AudiomoMusic Yep.
I got one at Guitar Center Atlanta few days ago. I was just looking for a backup guitar and did not want to spend much. This turned out to be a love story 😍. I really love this guitar. As you said, It has their things, it's not perfect... but dam! For 350$, it's insane guitar. Great video man! Thanks.
Love to hear stuff like this, happy it worked out for you!
Great Video! I Need to know the Song Name!! 3.44 - 4.50
That's an original that is being tracked as part of my next album, I do not have a name for it just yet
Wtf this guitar sounds fantastic in your hands who knew a vintage instrument can sound this good-I want to ride a mustang soon
I'd rather ride a Charizard so I can fly over traffic
ストラトのヘッドのテレキャス、マジでカッコいいですね❣️
ピックアップは、ショーバッカーでしょうか?😊
What a solid review. Appreciate the detail and tips !
Thanks amigo, happy you enjoyed it
The player 2 looks so cheap its insane. I hate the pickguard. I love the 70s look on the Vintera 2, but i think its strange that its the only option. So yes youre right on all points.
I want to be wrong on this sadly, but it is what it is.
May be a strange question but the tailpiece studs the same distance apart?
yep
