    I live in san Ignacio tx my house is literally backed up to the Rio grande. I've caught thousands of these things and I'm so glad that they are getting to respect they deserve these days. Apex predator of the river

    I don’t know if you can help me but i have been trying to fish for an alligator gar for a while know in the rio grande in laredo but haven’t had much luck you got any tips. Their not caught often but peaple have caught some good size gar

    Super cool. I just got one on my trout set up . 7 n half ft ultra light 5lb braid with 2 lb leader with a mini jig. 27 lbs. She was beautiful

    Indeed! I'm running 1/0 gamakatsu. What was the leader line you run? I have 100 lb braid but would imagine that a steel leader would spook them.

    The calm sides of islands and the mangroves are your friends down there for tarpon snook etc. or if you can get up in one of the canals on big pine
