Your cartel story had me on the edge of my seat that would've been a wild origin story 😂

24:06 "I will work with my hands until they break" is such a perfect way to express how so many of us are feeling about making stuff. There definitely is poetry in fine craftsmanship and Michel is for sure one of these "hand poets" I'd love to see Chris Salamone and Paks Makes next!

It’s the measuring tape getting stuck that did it for me… relatable 😂

Seeing someone go from no tools and experience to being so talented is something special, Kelly inspires me to be a scroll saw girlie. Does she do adult sized feet prints? I might place an order.

So happy she found woodworking..it's great therapy it has sure helped me too, and I mix it with other hobbies for a hybris result at times. Great story here I hope she continues to thrive !

Great video! It took me an embarrassing long time to connect the dots that this is the guy who came to stay in Michael's barely finished house a few weeks back. : ) Love the crossover content, and have subbed to Mabie's channel now. Keep up the great work!

If you don’t mind me asking, what type of font did you use for the baby sign? I’d really like to do something like this and I love this font. Thank you so much!

First of all, This is a GREAT video of who April, (The multitude of videos I have watched) Is. Thanks for the history of April & how she knows what she does so well. You have had a very interesting start. Second, I too have a much smaller workshop that I built it completely & Have filled it to the point of no return through 70 years of learning while doing. I'm a 52 yr. Motorcycle Mechanic at the same shop & Have retired now 4 times. I was talked into "helping out part-time" again, But Can't do it anymore. So April, Do it all while your young. Third, Your much more entertaining than anything on TV & I'm hooked on watching your old videos, Just to see what your tackling next. I wouldn't want you to change a thing. You surprise me with each & every new project. But your Never boring. You have a gift as my grandmother would tell me. I took things apart , just to see how they worked & put them together again. I was making motorized go carts as a kid, A Ham radio builder & operator as a child, Built a Color TV in 73, self taught mechanic, woodworker, home construction, electrician, plumbing, mason, & now computers. My first real Christmas present was a soldering gun at 7. I feel I'm looking in a mirror when I watch you learn what your capable of learning & doing yourself every day. Finally, I'm so glad I "met" you on this KZread channel because I'm never too old to learn something new from someone who is learning something new. Girl , You have a wonderful long & happy life ahead of you, No matter what you get into next. You will succeed !

I really enjoy watching Michael's work. He's one of my biggest inspirations for trying new things and chasing those niche pieces for my house. Watching him make a sewing desk, that light figure with all the brass, all his patterned plywood bowls now, and even that custom step stool drawer... His work reminds me that when I find a problem, I can develop a great solution that fits me.
