    Love mine on my Rav Limited.. l didn't use those tiny screws and rubber washers on the rack sides since rack isn't going to come apart after installation ... Wife bought me a small long metal Fender guitar 🎸 show plate that I installed over the HMaster decal ... Had someone asked where I purchased the Fender roof rack , and is there a Gibson rack available ??? Too Funny 😅. Nevertheless, the rack is absolutely fine for it price point 😊 .. Wife and I use it for our camp chairs , hammocks, tool box, etc.. that all lay in the rack nicely.. 😊😊😊 😉

    I installed the rack without using those screws and washers... So much easier in installation with out them .. Besides, The rack isn't going to come apart after installing rack on vehicle mount rails .. l use a couple of nice cable locks in weaving cable through rack and vehicle mount rails ... Oh, wife bought me a long Fender guitar metal sign from Hobby Lobby that l installed over the rack decal... Other guitarists have approached me in asking where l bought the Fender guitar 🎸 rack ... LoL 😅😅😅😅😅

    Great idea for the refrigerator adding a small pc fan with rechargeable battery. I’ve added one to the back of my refrigerator to get better cooling from the outside air. Also if you mounted that refrigerator fan to the bottom of the shelf vs the top you will have more space in the refrigerator.

  • @skippy3840

    Thanks! Yes I experimented with it and moved it lower and it works well. I also put a couple of new computer fans in the rear of mine and hooked it into the 12v so they run all the time and it really helped the cooling

    I have a bed cap on my truck but no roof rack on it. Could this bolt directly to the roof without having a rack if you left the bottom of those brackets off and used bolts to secure it? Weird question, but I can't tell too well from the videos if it'd have enough clearance to mount like that lol

  • @skippy3840
    @skippy384024 күн бұрын

    Yes you could do it that way and it looks like it would work fairly well. You would still have about an inch of clearance between the bottom of the rack and your topper...

    You wanna replace the Screws that come with it. They are terrible quality strip easily and are not really that safe. To be honest, just go to your local hardware store in swap out the screws. And let me tell you the difference that will make in the strength and quality and durability.

    Can you say "overkill?" Those things would hold up a house. I guess they're ok if you don't care about cost or weight. To make four of these you would need nearly 20 ft. of 4x4 plus a sheet of treated plywood. You might want to price that out first. 5/4 deck boards over a 2x4 frame would get the job done with less weight and cost.

    Yeah, Rustoleum has a new spray paint and brush on rubberized paint that converts rust and seals the metal from rusting further. Walmart sells it in the automotive section. People are raving about in reviews I've seen so it might be some good stuff for this application.
