We're husband and wife, Stephane & Alison Roy, and we are passionate about hunting, fishing, and gathering on public land! For the past 15+ years, we've harvested our own meat and fish, without needing to rely on the grocery store. We love cooking up our catch and sharing our best and easiest recipes! Our lifestyle allows us to become part of nature, stay fit, and provides us with healthy food in a way that makes us truly appreciate every bite. It is our mission to inspire people to get outdoors and to ensure that the important skills of hunting and fishing are passed down for future generations. We hope you enjoy our videos, and we encourage you to get out there, make your own adventure, and experience all our beautiful and abundant public lands have to offer!

Do yall have leprosy now?
Where is this at? 2
Newport area.
In Winchester bay. Please send a dm your location. For sure want to make a day drive.
We were just outside of Coos Bay on the flats.
Could I get a location on stream?
Been there before . Always clean your nipple . Just swabbing the bbl isn't enough.
I figured out that it was the powder I was using. I use Blackhorn 209, but factory CVA breach plugs don’t reliably ignite the powder. CVA now makes breach plugs for the Blackhorn powder but only for newer models. I might have to have my old breach plug machined so it works better with the Blackhorn powder.
I just pan fry lightly w ghee & garlic. So simple & you can really taste the mushroom, plus keeps the fiber. But we're all different
Sounds yummy. 😋 Thanks for the suggestion!
@@CatchNDinner In retrospect, Think it needs to cook more, I do see why your method is more digestible?
Dont' you want to leave some to spore the area?
We use a mesh bag to carry the morels, which should help to spread the spores around.
I get it being much better cooking outdoors. I only eat wild trout and always smoked or made into fish cakes. But camping just so good pan fried.
Yeah, there’s definitely something to cooking some freshly caught trout outdoors. Especially when the flesh is so orange and tasty. 😋
Awesome video!
Thanks!
I'd try grilling it first.
Yeah, that might be the ticket.
😅 🙏It would really be helpful if you could label the type of fish you’ve speared to help those with little ability to identify what types & variety of fish (strawberry grouper, mutton snapper, etc.) we’re watching being caught.
Thanks for the recommendation. We will add the names on our next video.
Just go further out and walk in the water, that way you can see I. Between the eel grass to expose the cockles
I am going to bring my wetsuit and snorkel gear next time so I can go deeper and see better. You are right. We saw nicer ones the further out we went, and like you said they were easier to see them. Thanks for the tip!
I’m going to Eleuthera Bahamas for a week mid July and really want to go spear fishing but don’t want to pay $780 per person for a guide. Any tips?
Have you ever done any spearfishing before? You have to be 200 yards from shore, so I highly recommend renting a kayak. Usually satellite view on google maps will show you the reefs pretty good. Lobster season is closed until August, which is too bad since lobsters are usually pretty easy to find in the Bahamas. Good luck and have fun!
Great video! Beautiful birds!
Thanks! We appreciate it. 😊
Ok, so that’s a no go for me. Maybe if civilization collapses!😅
No doubt that armadillo is not our go to meat, but like you said it would be a good back up in case things get dire. That is why we wanted to try it so we would have some experience with it.
Great hunt . Enjoyed every minute . Thanks for taking us along !
Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback. We truly appreciate it. 😊
@@CatchNDinnerwhat WMAs would you recommend in Florida? I'm looking to get into this in central Florida but don't know where to start
Nice find
Thanks! 😊
Nice find. not sure why you guys haven't shown up in my feed, but I hope you are doing well. Nice chunk of bone!
Thanks! We are doing great, just got drawn today for a cow moose tag in Colorado. Finding that antler was definitely a good omen. Maybe you need to click on the notification bell if you want to see all of our content.
Great content, what beach were you on for the cockle video?
Thanks! We would rather not disclose the location as to not over pressure the resources. Hope you understand. It is a small area and cockles could easily be over harvested.
Being from Leominster Massachusetts, I can tell you when it comes to making New England Clam Chowder or Chow-dah. I start with pork belly, and never put corn in clam chowder, Corn Chowder is where corn goes. But its all about preferences.
Thanks for sharing. We always appreciate tips from connoisseur.
We were just at this exact spot and i swear we just saw you guys!
Too funny. Definitely not us. We are scouting for elk in WY. Enjoy your harvest. 😋
His wife is gorgeous
Alfredo sauce and Cholula? What the hell?
Don’t knock it until you try it! It turned out great. 😋
I didn't know that you could eat those fish, I've always thrown them back, but i will definitely keep a few next time and give them a try. Thanks my friend.
They are definitely not the best eating fish, but on a slow day they can save the day. If you remove the red meat and cook it up the way we did you won’t be disappointed.
Holy sh@# brother, thats the biggest one I've ever seen, down here in Southern Louisiana we call them lake runners and that is a definite trophy. Great job brother, awesome video.
Thanks. Just arrived at Lake Havasu and I just have a few hours to fish tomorrow. Hopefully I can find a few nice ones. 🤞🏼
Mullet are delicious and definitely under rated, like you said its all about taking care of the fish and how you clean them. Personally i make sure not to open the stomach when cleaning them and i love them friend crispy. Cool video my friend.
Thanks for the tip and the nice comment! 😊
Ask someone from Trinidad how to cook armidallo you have to wash with plenty lemon and stew with curry powder
Thanks for sharing some tips! 😊
Mud bugs
They sure have many names, but one great taste. 😋
bro you making me HUNGRY
Going back to Havasu next weekend for sunfish again. Hope we can find some nice ones. Looking forward to a nice fish fry. 😋

So glad you discovered our channel and that you’ve enjoyed some of our videos! Thanks so much for the nice comment!
Congrats on two great birds in such a pressured area. The only thing better than the hunt will be what Allison does in the kitchen
Thanks, Jason. We will be putting the jake’s breast on the smoker, should be pretty yummy.😋 Video coming soon.
Really enjoyed that
Glad you enjoyed it!
Need to see what you cook!
We’re planning to make a smoked turkey breast video soon!! 😋
Nice!
Wow! Nice job you really worked for those!!!!
We sure did, but it’s our favorite kind of work!! 😉
Nice! Are you guys doing colorado 2024?
We are actively working on editing the video! Stephane tagged out in CO opening morning, and I tagged out the next morning! It was a good (but short) season... meat in the freezer! 😀
That’s what it’s all about! Life is good.
Yep, we have to agree!!! Thanks for the comment!! 😀
@@CatchNDinnerwhat kind of spear gun was that? Did you bring it or was it rented in bahamas?
You are like a kid playing in mud. 😄This is an awesome video!
Thank you!!!🙂
Amazing eats!!! I love all the pointers, while you guys are foraging!! Love both of your enthusiasm, what fun!
Glad you enjoyed our Gaper Clamming video!! Thanks for your nice comments!! 😀
Yum!! WONDERFUL forage & eats!! Just a suggestion, use the back of your knife to scrape your shallots & garlic-prevents dulling your knife ❤
Thank you for the nice comment and suggestion. We appreciate it! 😊
In Ukraine we boil it with lots of dried or fresh dill and dill seeds. Salt added. Mmm I love it more then any lobster or scallop❤
Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing.
I’d never take that crab😢
that's nice, where did you rent a kayak, ,may I ask?
It was included with the VRBO. A lot of waterfront rentals include them, so we always make sure that they are included.
@@CatchNDinner Nice, good tips, thanks!
We enjoyed this recipe so much that we are making it again tonight!
Great! Enjoy. 😋
Secure your fish after the shot and the sharks won’t be on your ass non stop
I was diving for conch when the shark started harassing me and kept coming at me. I didn’t shoot any fish remotely close to that area. And when I did shoot fish I would put them in a cooler on the kayak as to not attract sharks.
great video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Excellent. Great Job!
Thanks!! 😊
I'm from Hawaii n visiting my girlfriends family in Colorado for couple weeks. Wondering where are some places to go Spearfishing?
Colorado is pretty limited as far as spearfishing goes. Generally speaking gamefish can’t be targeted other than Pike in certain areas. Also Pueblo reservoir has special regulations for spearfishing. Since Hawaii has some great spearfishing, not sure that you would find it worth it to bring all your gear over.
if you shoot at a shark itll leave you alone?
The shark I shot at in the video came at me a few times for no obvious reason. I was diving for conch and had not shot any fish. After I shot at it, it left and didn’t come back. In this case I didn’t even hit it. Every situation is different, but it usually works as a deterrent.
What island?
Since this a shore diving video I would rather not disclose the name of the island publicly as to not bring excessive pressure on the resources. Many popular KZread videos have done that in the past. Hope you understand. Thanks!
