    Actually they look like shit, as they appear to be spot lights not flood lights! These would be a safety hazard if someone from oncoming traffic would be temporarily blinded. Lastly, I would not be surprised if they were not NTSB approved! I am a mechanic and I would also be concerned with Fords canbus system becoming disabled due to overload even if it was run on a relay with an external power source!

    Hey M&R. I put in the Reverse lights a week or so ago, and I had some criticism about the thoroughness of the instructions. I installed this light bar today, and these instructions were much clearer, and if weren't making them available for me to watch last month, I probably would not have purchased them. They were really straight forward....BUT it was still lacking in a couple areas. Your video shows removal of the harness with the grill, but 1. does NOT say "how" to disconnect the attachment (which lead to some fear of breaking the clip) and 2. did not mention removing the small hose to the camera washer. That would have helped during my install. Also, you mentioned the 8mm bolts, but did not mention that the attachment brackets required 10mm, nor did you mention needing torx screwdriver for the side brackets. Not "that big" a deal for a person that owns tools, but would be nice in the description to list "here's what's needed"...1, 2, 3, etc. Not being picky but as I mentioned, your pretty good instruction video is what encouraged me to purchase and install on my own Great Job. Next post is a link to my video on FB. Thanks again. Please let me know if you make something custom for the 3 amber marker lights or some top lights for my baja bar. 2 THUMBS UP!

    Hi, its Mike here, the owner. Thank you for your detailed review. I will make sure to mention in upcoming install videos the tools the tools that I use. I guess I'm always under the assumption that the people that install it themselves, have some tools laying around. Now that I know that these install videos are giving someone like you more confidence about installing it yourself, which is ultimately what I would like. I appreciate it and thank you for your support. We are also learning what our customers would want from us.

  • @mariarob
    @mariarob19 күн бұрын

    @MandRautomotive the tools not being mentioned is minor. I just thought since you mentioned the 8mm you could mention others. I had more than everything I needed, but I like to lay everything out before I start. Not showing how to disconnect the harness and water hose was more important to me. I've broken so many clips in my life from not knowing the correct way to remove. I LOVED the showing of prying off bottom of grille and removing bumper. Not sure I would have attempted if you hadn't shown. Also liked taping bumper. I used brass connectors to connect covered with heat shrink for a smooth clean look. Did you get to see my pics/video?

    I have a problem with this video. I just took off an upper bumper cover like he shows. Mine was a 2022 Sierra. You cannot get to the tabs from below like he states. To release them, you very carefully have to put a small flat blade between the upper and the lower edge of the grille and push the tabs down to release them. It looks to me as if all of the release tabs on his cover are gone. It seems that GMC has gone above and beyond to make this as difficult as possible.

    A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED! I purchased these back up lights and the 40" Pro bar. I received them both today. Both lights were in the boxes and well packaged. The Quality is obviously noticeable. However, the hardware for both light kits were just taped to the boxes in several baggies with No identification on them. I had to sort which bolts went to which kits. Then I threw one of the bags away because it was stuck to the bottom of the shipping package. I installed the back up lights today but put the Pro bar aside for another day. Luckily I checked for the hardware. For this price and quality, the hardware should be all together and inside the respective light kits. As far as the install...again disappointed. I Watched all 4 videos of your Ranger Raptor products. When I go to install the Pro bar, I think it will go GREAT because your instructions are very thorough....NOT so much with the reverse kit. You video just starts with "Here is the bolt...." then you show the bracket already attached. You REALLY should indicate that it is VERY difficult to get these nuts and bolts tightened up because the spare and the driver side harness make it very difficult to reach. Even on the Pass. side once the bracket is on, it's hard to get your ratchet there to tighten. The same thing applies to the tightening up the assembled bracket with the nylon lined nut. The space is very difficult to navigate. ALso, you should leave the wires bare and just include the crimp pieces, so that we can slide an heat shrink tube over the connection. I just removed the and used my own connectors. NOW having said all that I am very please with the product itself and am very happy that you made these lights specifically for the Ranger Raptor. A+ for getting these to the market and having good quality. I cant wait to put the Pro Bar on it. Please let me know if you have some lights for the top of the Baja bar. Would also like some amber 3 lights for the top of the grille.
