TBs are the best and I bred and raised them. Amazing horses to ride as they've experienced a lot of action. I used to take mine up the trails to get them fit for the track. I love that you ride with your kids. I used to also when they were young. I'm Canadian, but as a teenager I came over to England. Found a job on a farm owned by a hunt Chairman. I looked after his barn in Hertfordshire.

Denver's an angel he does exactly what you ask him to do and he's so encouraging all the time bless.I haven't got any young kids that would do that for me I must say lucky you! 😊🤗 Ooh and a chestnut thoroughbred too I'm so jealous. My favourite breed and they are so comfy as they have that long low daisy -cutter action. I have a PRE and they have such a huge high action that even his very bouncy walk took some getting used to, especially downhill lol. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this guy for sure.

Thank you Debbie
@diaryofahappyhackerАй бұрын
Fly mask if it's the flys bothering him. I sometimes ride in a fly mask but I use a full head one. Also my little cob used to throw her head and pull reins when she wanted more rein, so I tend to ride on the buckle now and that's stopped it. If I'm cantering her she'll sometimes throw her head down so again I just have a loose rein. Maybe try a different bit if that doesn't work. Good luck though!! Lots of happy adventures for you 😊😊😊

Can you advise me where to find the best cob in the UK? It has taken me months and months but still nothing I live in Cumbria, I love your videos and the variety of hacks you and your little girl have when riding your cobs
@diaryofahappyhacker3 ай бұрын
Hi, I would suggest looking on Facebook. There are some groups 'cobs for sale uk' and 'happy hackers and family horses' just as a starting point. Then going out and doing lots of visits and see what type of cob you're after. Something young and fresh, foward or ploddy. Also go visit local riding schools as they might have some for sale and if not, they can usually put you in touch with reliable dealers. Sometimes it takes time. We've never had a big budget and I've been very lucky, but I've also spent months looking. I also go to Brecon sales and that can always throw up a few diamond in the rough types. Good luck!!! 🤞🏼🍀
