2:05 i totally agree. A year ago, a friend of friend took his life at the age of 13. That was a sad period for my friend.
Just going to be honest gatorade is good after a work out but don’t drink it constantly it has a lot of sugar
yep
But aau helps you play against kids your age, while learning.
100% agree, but for players (mostly younger) who lack the skills, it hurt their time to develop the fundamentals and master the basics.
I plan on getting better by realizing my past & present.
That’s a great goal!! 🙌
Great video!
Glad you liked it! Is there anything else you want to see?
@@joshsmilerbasketball please could you make something about finishing at the rim? Thanks!
Sure, I will add that to my list! I’ll be posting a ton of content this summer. 🏀💪
@@joshsmilerbasketball thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
Hey josh im from south korea I play basketball really well i just moved to the states and I want to know how i can join an aau team im in 8th grade currently, my family doesn't know anything about aau but i really want to play aau games and have exposure.
Hi! First things first, what position do you play, and have you played for a school team? I’m making a video on it soon, but playing AAU at your age might not be the best decision. I’d actually rather have you develop your skills (individual/group workouts + playing lots of pickup) for 2 more summers AND then worry about exposure. I’ve seen some other people say that if you’re good enough, exposure will take care of itself.
Hey ive just come across your content and was wondering if you have a video on developing a strong mind. My 11 year old daughter is a very good bball player and trains very hard on our driveway. Her dream is to attend college in the US ( we live in New Zealand) but she really struggles with her attitude when things don’t go her way and she talks negative about herself. Any advice?
First off, I love that her dream is to attend college in the US. That’s a great goal! Is she negative when she misses shots, has a bad game, or is the attitude bad regardless of her performance? If it’s after a missed shot - consider telling her about the next play mentality- which is that the past is in the past and you should only worry about the next play. If she has a bad attitude about missing shots, remind her that even the best shooters in the world make at best 50% of their shots. I don’t have a dedicated mindset video, but your comment is a great reminder to make one!! I’ll be sure to make a mindset video soon!!
@@joshsmilerbasketballthank you for replying. I have told her these things before but it hasn’t sunk in. She is amazed that you replied and I think that hearing this advice from someone else may be the spark that she needed. Thanks and keep up the good work on your channel
Hope she keeps working on her game!! I’ll get to work on that mindset video!!
