The opening of the new Helen DeVos Children's Hospital on 1-11-11 marked a new era of children's health care in West Michigan. The 212-bed, 14-floor, 464,000 square foot facility represents more than four decades of steady progress in improving pediatric care and bringing pediatric specialists to the region.

Now children have a hospital dedicated exclusively to their health care needs. All of the care is provided by pediatric nurses, therapists and clinicians and there are more than 200 pediatric physicians in 50 pediatric specialties and programs.

How does one get rid of a metopic or frontal suture? Very defined vertical indentation or crevice from top of forehead to bridge of nose. It's very prominent and noticed it showed up overnight in my 20's or 30's. I dont know why it occurred or never filled in laterally.

Hey Josh this is Justin and I had a traumatic brain injury in 2002, when my motorcycle was involved in an accident with a car. And it happened to me in Florida which doesn't require helmets, and stupid me didn't have 1 on. And I understand well what you have been dealing with. I have lost the majority of my friends who didn't want to deal with me post TBI. Been through 2 marriages that didn't work out. Because both women wanted to control every aspect of my life. I also live with my parents now. I have my own place, but I just don't want to live in it alone. My balance is off which causes me to have injuries often.

My husband was an Orthodontist for a craniofacial team in Shreveport, La. He would start the ortho treatment and then work with the oral surgeons for surgically place the skull bones. After surgery and healing, he finished the ortho. Incredible outcomes!

My husband was on two craniofacial teams. I was fortunate enough to sit in on some of their meetings. I’m totally in awe of these surgeons.

It always amazes me when someone says "We prayed for a NORMAL child, why didnt we get one? Why should you and not others? It is very aggrandizing that you think you are better than others. Did you always believe couples who had very ill children deserved it? God doesnt work that way. He is there to support you, not to give you everything you pray for.

Nf1. Mines are primarily on the outside. Shit is not a game. In many cases those whom do not have it choose not to associate themselves with those that do. Chances of being in a relationship with a person without it are quite slim. Albeit there are some that tend to ride with you but indeed fear being chastised when they do. At lest in my experience. However you must carry on and be strong.

When I was in elementary school there was this girl who had gotten into a car accident in the snow. She was put in different classes and I saw her a lot. I never really understood until years later why she seemed to change so much and she seemed weird after the accident. I don't remember her name but I hope she was able to make it ok in life.
