There was a few instances here where I tried to maintain a motif, but there was also a lot of random crap I just thought sounded nice in between. I'll try to get better with that as I go on, it's something I have noticed myself, I am too afraid of making repetitive stuff that I fail to establish a repeating motif.

This is so much more faithful to the OG than it was in Chronicles. While I have warmed up to that one, don't get me wrong, I just really feel this one captures what Azure Lake is supposed to be, a speedy warmup for the other competition zones.

I unfortunately think I messed up with this one a bit. I tried to be a bit more accurate to Sonic 4's style than the experimental Act 1 (working the best I can without Vacuum), even throwing in that synth guitar from Press Factory, but I just ended up fumbling a bit. Considered restarting multiple times but I actually like the first half, I just didn't know what to do from then on and didn't want to trash it or make the loop too short. I hope it can still find appeal to those who are interested.

Act 2 taking place at evening would be very pretty and would match Pinball Carnival which has a dark purple evening/late sunset sky in Act 1, and Act 2 being totally at night with a purplish red moon But I have a really good idea for Act 2 in my mind, I think since Act 1 ends with a tornado, and tornadoes usually come with big storms, I think it would be cool if Act 2 took place during a storm, but unlike act 1, act 2 would have a lot of parts inside the Sky Temple itself, and some parts outside, with the outside parts ahving moving platforms like at the end of act 1 when the tornado shows up, the similarity being closer to the final part of Act 1 of Crisis City of Sonic Generations, where Classic Sonic has to go by a fire tornado with flying objects, cars, buildings, and even the end sign I think it would be cool if as you progress through the level, each time you enter and leave the temple, the tornado starts to get weaker, further away and the storm becomes calmer, until at the end of the level everything is normal and it's a beautiful sunset/early evening with a bright orange sky, and then there is the transition to Pinball Carnival

the bad future version sounds too happy and upbeat still, it's missing that sense of dread/despair like "you fucked up now", maybe some harsher instrumentation/sound

I'd read the description for this one. I am not a fan of US Bad Futures (for the most part), I much prefer Hataya/Ogata's "you've screwed up, but you can still make it!" type feeling that all of them had (aside from Metallic Madness). That being said, perhaps you're correct that my instrumentation wasn't harsh enough. The Bad Future and Past renditions are always the hardest to come up with.
