  Connecticut native here, saw it there on May 28, fantastic experience. That was my 4th time seeing the show (I’ve seen it once on Broadway and 3 times on tour), and it was probably the most magical. Something about seeing one of my favorite shows so close to home (literally 40 minutes from my house) just hit different :)

  Breaks my heart to watch this. I was just there the day before it closed and as the sister in law of one of the stars I can’t tell you how heartbreaking 💔 it was for all of them when this show was cancelled. They worked so damn hard for YEARS and they were screwed over by the Tony’s and Brittany. She completely ruined the show by refusing to keep her contracted appearance and without her support they couldn’t make it. A good lesson: never let your dreams be dependent on a woman who is deeply troubled. Such an incredible cast ❤thanks for posting this.

  Ultimately, it's up to the venue to make that decision. I can safely say that I've never been stopped from filming the curtain call at BEETLEJUICE in any city I've seen it in.

  I have only seen Beetlejuice on Tour but I've seen it twice on tour now, once in Boston and once in Worcester. My sister has seen the show FOUR times! Once on Broadway (I think with Alex Brightman) and definitely Elizabeth Teeter. Then she saw it in Rhode Island, Boston, and Worcester. LOVE LOVE LOVE the show. Isabella Esler is actually my 2nd favorite Lydia behind Sophia Anne Caruso

  It brought tears to my eyes to see this because I saw the show two months ago and it was absolutely phenomenal. It's a stupid travesty that it had to close. One of the best dance ensembles I've ever seen, and a witty, meaningful script with perfect timing and delivery from the talented cast. I loved it so much and wanted to bring my whole family but didn't get a chance before they canceled it. :(

  As a dance mom, I am crushed. I saw it 7 times and ridiculous critics aside, if it were marketed to more than just Brittany fans, and in a slightly smaller theater, I think they would have gone on forever. Half the people I know who saw it went more than once, and I met a lady in The theater, who saw it 11 times !! Audience was crying, cast was crying, I was crying… BRAVO 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

  ⁠@dukeofrodtown I agree 100%! One of the idiotic remarks included “the singing was awful”. Were they even THERE? What exactly were they expecting? Shakespeare? If they just went by audience reaction, and I’ve been in the audience seven times, this would’ve gone on to next year‘s Tonys. If they do tour, they will fill the house every time.

  @@ladyl4147 Exactly! You told me once on another video that your family member was in this show. Now that I think about this, in retrospect, they and the rest of the cast did not deserve this snobbish idiocy from these critics, who couldn't make out talent if it suddenly disturbed them on a bad day at home. All theatre critics need to at least base part of their reviews on audience reaction, before bashing the company's performance as a whole. This deserved a run of at least 5-6 years minimum!
