My favorite ❤ pinball machine all time ❤
That was a good game of pinball and loved the ending. Very cute you two.
@@willierants5880 Thanks. My wife just got out of the hospital the day before we made that video having had a stroke two days before that so there is a lot of significance for us at the end. I did not want to taint that video with personal drama but I can’t imagine not putting something in there under those circumstances so it’s a subtle acknowledgment.
I'm looking for this machine. Breathtaking machine ❤
Gorgeous man, wow!
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Nice and shiny new one!
That’s sick looking! Beautiful job!
Great throw backs, this takes me back to skateland on 8 mile in the D. Thank you.
That is just beautiful Chris.
Pearl is popping! Where's your rollerskates?!
Incredible. Can’t wait to see what game you’re doing next.
A masterpiece
I enjoy your usual rock mix, but the disco is extra sweet here.
Thanks Yancy. I just wouldn’t feel right playing anything else for this one. 1979,the Globetrotters nothing rock n roll about it. Was a good place for some of my era and theme appropriate favorites.
The first pin I ever bought is Harlem Globetrotters. I bought it for $500 and KME delivered/set it up. I planned on using clear conical posts on mine when I swap the playfield so it's nice to see what it looks like ahead of time.
My favorite pinball machine all time ❤
It’s become one of mine as well. I remember the first time I was asked to do one and thought it was a strange request. I quickly realized the allure of it.
What a beautiful Globetrotters ! The displays are a lot of work , I totally get what you mean . The first time I did them , no big deal . But by the 4th or 5th game it gets old 😂 . It’s a lot of soldering work . And of course my OCD comes into play and I want them to be perfect which makes it take even longer .
Yeah. It just that after doing all the rest of the work it would be nice to be able to just pop a set of displays in there without the added sweat equity 🙄
The apron decals are always a pain . In my experience Marco seems to be the best as far as color and quality. It blows my mind that it’s the same guy making them and they can be so different! The last game I did ( Mata Hari) I bought three sets from different manufacturers and settled on Marco . If I’m being honest Marco is t my favorite ( expensive) but they do have almost everything in one spot which is always nice . They are like the Home Depot of the pinball world 😂 Do you ever use Pinball Resource?
Aprons are one of the most overlooked and underserved part of the hobby and parts market. It seems like someone would address it but no we are stuck with manual repaints, custom repaints or crappy decals. I do use PBR mostly when I am doing Gottliebs or EMs.
I bought the clear finned posts for our SBM, I think that paired with Titan's translucent blue or pink rubbers are going to pop!
Does anyone know the name of the place selling the LCD displays?
Beautiful
I'm a big fan of the vapor metallic bulbs from Mitchell Lighting. I use them in all my games now. They really shine in the Lawlor games with all the indicator lamps - Addams Family, Twilight Zone, FunHouse, but also here with Creature, Star Trek Next Generation and Monster Bash. Glad you tried them out.
What do you do with the old playfields? What I like to do is buy the old playfields and use em as touch up practice then light em up with LED strips and have em as wall art. :)
Wow that floor looks damn impressive. Good choice to do it.
What a gorgeous machine! Amazing work on this. I’ve always loved the theme of this game and the colors just pop on this. 👍
Hi, Chris! It looks like the switches at both ramp openings/entrances aren’t registering. Otherwise, everything looks to be playing perfectly! Great job on this restoration as per usual!
Thank you! Yes just the one on the right it’s noted in the video they are initial gameplay videos.I like to do those instead of dialed in gameplay videos because while not always perfect right out of assembly it shows how close they can be. You really have to play one of these games several times to even observe everything and make adjustments.
@@highendpins, yes, you noted in the video that the right ramp entrance switch wasn’t registering. I owned a CFTBL for a number of years in the early 2000’s, so it’s been a while, but I could swear that the left ramp entrance switch wasn’t registering either. I think it makes a revving engine sound when triggered. I could be wrong and you are the expert, so I know you’ll address it if necessary. Again, wonderful job! I *LOVE* your videos!!!
@@abc12346038 Thanks I could definitely miss something just like anyone else it does happen 😮
Wonderful game! I wish space wasn't always the final determining factor. I couldn't keep mine after some years because it is a very rinse, repeat codeset.
Thanks Pinfarmer. You are on the Christmas list 😀
Your work is absolutely amazing, it's art! Creature is one of my dream pins to own. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thank you. It’s just I me working but I am glad it’s enjoyable.
And yet another beautiful game ! When you showed the pictures of how you used to restore before they made reproduction decals , gave me a new appreciation for how good we have it these days ! Nice job man !
No doubt. Those were the darkest days of pinball restorations. Williams had only recently shut down,no one had the rights and we were on our own when it came to cosmetics in particular.
Beautiful!
Beautiful job! Which hologram mod is that? It looks great!
I wish I could tell you but it came in with the game so I don’t truly know.
Well, that's the best looking Creature From the Black Lagoon in the world. Stunning!
Thank you!!
I love this pin, Nice job one again, contrats 👍
Thanks. I recycled this series because it’s such a good system 11 game and what was there wasn’t doing it justice.
Are you using LED OCD? or its special led bulbs give you this smooth flashing effect?
LED ocd for the feature lamps buoy can’t run one for the GI because of the chase lamp board. They don’t work together.
@@highendpins So whats are you using for this smooth flashing effect?
Man whomever made that repro creature sign just didn't give one f' for doing the job right or good or even passable. I would be on the phone with whomever sold that POS and would be sending it back. There's no excuse for trash like that being sold. On a positive note those bulbs looks slick!
Thanks. That reproduction plastic set was pretty good overall but that sign was a complete oversight on their part.
I like what you said about having to adjust and fix the machines. When I first started playing pinball almost 30 years ago , I just really liked to play . As I got older and acquired more skills. Pinball became an obsession. Half of the allure for me is getting the machine dialed in just the way I want it . But honestly they usually always need something. Doesn’t matter how many times we fix them. They will always need something. And that is what makes pinball , pinball. Some people just aren’t meant to have their own machines . Let’s be honest , there are a lot of guys who think they know how to fix them , but just make a mess . I think many of us have dealt with that in the past .
It can be maddening dealing with a person that has a desire to own a game but no clue what’s involved in it and where the fault lies.
Chris. Color DMD, lcd or led version? Looking really good. The topside in creature is always tough! Newer Ramos make it worse because they are thicker than original. Buffing that window is a great approach and makes a lot of sense. After a few games, the window will get minor scratches and dull but it is what it is. Play it and have fun.
LED version. That’s my preference.Yes trying to keep a Creature window clear is a lost cause.
Das mit den Stern Geräten ist gut auf den Punkt gebracht. Was haltet ihr von den anderen Herstellern wie z.B. JJP?
Freaking beautiful. Work of art. Someday- I’m going to find myself an IJ The Pinball Adventure, and give it my own “high end” inspired treatment. I really like these videos man. Thanks. Great work.
Totally agree with you on the color DMD . Creature has great coloring ! Adds a ton to the game . The machine is looking beautiful !
When you do a playfield swap, what harness do yo wire in first? Switch, solenoid, Gi or controlled lighting?
You are brave!
Drooling 🤤👍
Wow!
It’s amazing how dirty the wiring harnesses get over the years . I mean all the parts get filthy . Always enjoy watching your process. Your methods are always on point and I always learn something new from your videos .
great work. I get nervous every time I see a pinball machine outside.
I had no clue that switches were able to sustain water. That really is not an issue?
@@PastorOW No it’s not as long as they are dried before power up but I am replacing them all anyway not because of the water but because they are worn out.
@@highendpins I see 👍
Beautiful piece of work!
Thank you. That was one of my favorites.
How much does this machine cost in good working condition?
Not sure these days probably $6500 as a guess.
Absolute skill; fantastic work, as always
Man I sure do appreciate that.
@@highendpins I’ve been following your work since at least 2007. I remember watching your galleries while I was in Japan! One day I hope to convince you to redo my Bally Monte Carlo back to its pristine condition!
Love the green washers on the leg bolts - what a nice touch! This will be stunning when it is finished.
It’s the little things 😂
