Hello Good People! Welcome to my channel, showcasing the great American Bandstand in the 1960's!
I have always had a passion for music from the 60’s, the greatest music of all time!
I love watching clips from when this music was new such as on shows like Hullabaloo, Shindig, The Ed Sullivan Show etc... but I especially love seeing average kids dancing to this “new” music on American Bandstand.
My channel is dedicated to sharing clips from American Bandstand (and other shows) celebrating AB’s amazing dancers (check out ABDancers channel too!) and highlighting the fashion, fads, news, pop culture, and especially the MUSIC of the 1960’s!
Thanks for watching!

Hi Kiddos.... It's been a fast trip, but we made the best of it. Will see you all on the other side.
where are the cell phones
I was about 2 months shy of my 4th birthday. at this time. ABS was on all through my growing up years and My friends and I would run home to dance with the Bandstand and Soul Train kids.
Did this at my parties in the 80s
Ireland 🇮🇪 wow can't believe I'm watching this. Was born in 1950. Im now 74. From the age of 15 i used to visit my aunt Pauline in buffalo new York and we would watch this on tv. Has brought back lovely memories and i loved the music. Everyone looked so healthy and i loved the hairstyles and fashion. Unlike the kids today with botox, tattoos and big lips. Most of the young ones all look alike. Its sad really. I loved being born in sixties. Everything was so exciting and i loved each year when i got my summer holidays and flew off to visit my aunt Pauline, uncle Tony and cousins David and joey. Best time ever. Unforgettable.
Not all change was good..oh how I miss those great days
Boy don't I wish we could go back again life was so different not perfect but so much better
SHAME on this nasty man, with his nasty songs. Yeah, thanks a LOT, Gary, for firing up ALL the goddamned child molesters when girls like me were eight years old. Hell with you, for stopping little girls from just being plain old little girls, you sicko. No wonder no one hears about you anymore; GOOD. Shame the hell all over you.
Watching 2024. Watched this on saturday mornings when life was better
11:45 so luvky to have been part of this era.Met my tru love in 1961
The world would change less than two weeks later.
I danced on this beautiful show 1985-1987! ❤ Best of times! 🥰
This is what I like about you videos. A great Stereo soundtrack. Outstanding!!! 1,000.000.000 stars for the upload & channel. Got any more videos of American Bandstand Stereo?😀
This song sucks
@7:17 Dick Clark can really sell that GE Television. I want one now. LoL 🤣 I enjoyed his spin off show "Where the Action Is." Couldn't wait to watch afternoons after I completed my 4th grade homework at 4:30 way way back in the 60's.
I was 4 years old when this was aired. Wow, how time flies. Seems like just yesterday.
I was 14 years old . Now I am 74 and I remember all the fun and the music we loved. Very romantic and fun time .
I just saw sylvester stallone😂😂😂 dancing slow
Who’d have known if I’d kept my 1963 Sports Coat it’d be back in style today.
Talk about a walk down memory lane !!!
Once the show moved to Hollywood I never watched it again. Nothing could compare to the Philly group!
Great president in the white house....a functioning Congress ...a truly neutral supreme court...... middle class keeps growing...people knew each other up and down the block....frequent block barbeques... open spaces...optimism... job loyalty....the halcyon days of our once great nation
It warms my heart to see those 35 year old teenagers dancing and having a good time.
Girls were much better looking back in the '60s. More healthy looking and more attractive.
I’m 62 now and still remember every word like it was yesterday!
American Banstand was a show I looked forward to seeing after I came back home from school. The young high school dancers were excellent and well groomed. Fast forward to 2024 and what a difference in the dance style .these days and style of clothes. Dick Clark passed away I think about 2012. A great host and personality. Anthony Joseph Lucchese age 80
Excellent! Bo Diddley actually recorded this song first but his wasn't released until the 2000's
What dance are they doing ?
I could watch this all day, but I have things to do...
These dancers are in a lot of these vintage rock videos. I learned they were a troupe out of San Diego, sure like to know who they were. The small brunette is the one I like mostly.
Just went I got old enough to go there they moved to CA.
Sherry Ebert also is the girl with the upside down face on at the beginning of the 6-17-67 episode.
I was 6 years old and moving from Upstate NY to Maryland.
It was ‘53 when Bandstand aired. I went to West Catholic, around the corner. It was very a very small studio and Bob Horn was the Host. Of course we would go in our uniforms, then next morning get called down to the Disciplinary Office to get our punishments. We were making a part of history and having fun to boot! Marie Pizzi
I wonder how many teen boys today even know how to wear a tie?
Scott is my man.
this cant be august 11, 1964, which was a tuesday and my bday. Its august 22, Major Lance the main attraction.
3:22 Cougar came to catch somethin!
AB, I am amazed you don't have a million followers. Good luck.
@@tomantorietto963 thank you for your kind words. Hopefully someday 😊
I was so into American Bandstand in jr. high and high school. Loved the music. I never could dance so I was in awe of these kids. Never was able to dance-oh well!!
I was in college when this episode came out. Unfortunately, I worked every day so was not able to watch the show anymore. When I was in jr. high and high school, I watched every episode I could watch. Unbelievable memories!!
Anyone else look at these young people and wonder if they’re still alive??? Love watching them and their hair, outfits, great music and maybe in young love!!!
Loved Famous. He became a teacher.
Dick Clark never looked his age
He was a very good looking man.
Duck Clark looked so youthful for many years. I liked his New Years rocking eve. R.I.P. Dick
I miss Dick Clark.
