Hello, I was analyzed your YT channel and I saw that in your channel have some problems, that's why your channel is not growing. Your videos is not reaching to targeted people, not getting engagement. Do you want to know these problems? If you can give me permission I can tell here, . Where Can I tell? here or email? I can tell anywhere if you want to gain!! ././.
On the 32 to 34 pickup do you have to cut the frt windshield piller to take the roof off?
@@marknelson1712 on the 32 there's a nut on the side of the A pillar and there's several nuts inside the windshield frame holding it together. I think on the 33-34s it's tack welded on the side of A pillar. You would have to break the tack welds on the A pillar but otherwise it unbolts.
Have you ever thought of selling videos such as for the 32 to34 ford p/u. I know i would buy one. I just bought a bead roller so i am a knew be.
One question, i have the same tranny t5 from a camaro with 3.8 engine but i dont know if this tranny can bear a 350 engine, i want to intall on thd tranny a 350 or a lt1 engine but searching those engind have yo much torque, what do you know about that ??
@@ricardojimenez9628 this transmission can only handle around 250 HP maybe a little more. The crate motor we have is rated at 385 HP so we won't ever be able to put full throttle.
@@coldstreamrodshop the tranny used its stock for camaro 3.8 engine??
thanks derrick.
Going to miss that little Mopar when it's gone. Just wish it had a 340 in it instead of a Chevvy.
Neat, thoughtful work as always Derek. Thanks for sharing 👍🇬🇧.
I have a 1940 Stinson aircraft and I'm looking forward to the day I get to do a photo shoot with a 1940 auto. There is a guy on our airport with a 1940 Chrysler hot rod that may get together with me someday.
I’m working on my 39 coupe same car thanks for the tips
thank you derrick for sharing. really enjoyed this project.
That will be another nice car when back on the road Derek. Have you my up grades on the other cars you have already sent home? Take care both. Tim.
@@timferriss905 I'll get some pictures of two of them and add it to an upcoming video. One of the 32 coupes and a 32 roadster pickup have made progress as well as one of the 34 chassis which has a sedan body on it now
Brilliant
👍
Hi very good, i am from Brasil, its very Hard to find 32s here, 29s its easy
The forty is coming together. Did you mention what motor is sitting in it . Let’s hope they chose a mopar A wee 340 would help her dance
@@TKM1951 I would have chosen a 340 or early Hemi but it has a crate motor 350 chev in it.
Summertime
01:09 Hello Derek. What sequence do you use when shrinking sheet metal with a torch ? Some people use air or wet rag to cool and shrink after heating. Others use gentle(not hard) hammer blows after heating to compress the metal while hot. But i think the second method can't be used in this case since you cannot get a dolly below the trunk floor. Enjoy the summer.
@@petar443 Hi I've used all those techniques actually. In this case I will just heat spots up and cool with air. It just needs to be tightened up some so it doesn't oil can.
More great work 👍
More great progress. A drive out in the hot rod sounds perfect. Take care both
I have a real soft spot for 40's Plymouth's so I'm really enjoying your videos. My first collector car was a 41 Plymouth coupe back in the early 70's and I still beat myself up for selling it. I guess every gear head has at least one they wish they still had. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, we're moving this one along. It's all coming together now. It just needed more metal love than what we thought!
Great to see this in the feed 👍 Best summer to you all as well !
Looks really good. Thanks for the updates on KZread. Don't have IG or FB.
Facebook is crap to be honest. Very hard to filter the crap out. Instagram on the other hand for car enthusiasts is pretty cool. People buy and sell stuff on there too. You can select who and what to follow and it's not like Facebook where someone follows you, you don't follow back unless you choose to. No trolls on Instagram either.
Good to hear from you, take care an stay safe Terry. 😊
Good progress. Take care both.
I love this project derrick. thank you for sharing.
What is the camera lady’s name? It probably would sound better than calling her, camera lady!
She's very shy unfortunately. That's what she wants to be called.
super boulot
Neat job as always Derek, I like the way you replicate the original structures 👍🇬🇧
Thanks, I didn't realize Plymouth made it so complicated until I took it apart.
Excellent
I've been watching your progress on this project Derek, haven't commented until today. It's been interesting to see you taking on something different from the '32's and as always has been very enjoyable. Enjoy your summer break, will be keeping an eye out for any snippets you upload. Thanks for sharing and regards from the UK 🇬🇧👍👍👍.
Thanks. We're still working and are going to do shorts during the summer not longer edited videos like we normally do.
Your videos are always very educational. You are a true craftsman, sir. Was hoping for the 2dr sedan this year. I need to do some repairs on mine. I will just have to keep re-watching the older ones until you come back. Have a great time off.
Thank you! I'm not sure yet when the sedan will start. I have to finish the roadster first as it's for the same person.
What company makes the kit?
JW Rod garage in Wisconsin made the front end kit.
We all look forward to an excellent summer 👍always get some great time in with the kids and grandkids. Best days to you !all there !
How did you get the shocks into the springs
They slid up into holes in the lower control arms.
That is the heater, some I understand were aftermarket. I have a P9 that had one and I took it to a radiator shop, and they pressure tested it and fixed one seam that had split. Otherwise, the fan motor worked perfectly.
Dang I'll miss watching as I learn so much from you. Enjoy your summer , hope you get to vacation a little.
Thanks for the great videos and hard work, look forward to seeing you both at our local carshows. Have a fantastic summer with the family. 👍👏👏👏🇨🇦
Thanks! Hoping to get out more this year.
Exciting update! Glad to see it coming together.
Always good to see a body on a frame. Big step forward in progress. Enjoy your summer.
Good for you two. Enjoy your time with your families. Have a great summer. All the very best wishes from England.
Thanks! We're still working. It takes a lot of time for both of us to make the videos so just taking a break for the summer. We'll be back!
That's pretty snazzy the way you have the front fender mounted on the back.😂
Oh LOL! We didn't realize that was in the picture!
@@coldstreamrodshop it reminded me of the things I would do with models when I was a kid.
Great video !
Thanks!
That flywheel looked a bit spooky in my mind, great you put a new one in 👍 Beautiful exhaust work !
super boulot
Obviously you have to work with what customers want, but it would have been cool if they kept it Mopar powered.
Derek do you prefer a hydraulic clutch to a manual. I need to order parts soon. Because I’m from England I need to get it right the first time. That chassis is looking good. Cheers take care both.
And I should have asked where did you get the yokes from.
This is the first clutch I've had to hook up to be honest so I went with what the owner wanted. I have since seen a cable setup that really appealed to me. I bought both yokes off Amazon once I found the PNs.
Ok thanks for the reply. I’ve worked with more cables type. I’m thinking that’s the way I’ll go. Cheers.
That was alot if himming and hauing to get that transmission figured out. I sure hope this doesn't become a project from hell for you😂 and the rest falls together.
I hope this is the worst. Everything else is going well. This is hot rodding though, you have to work through the issues.
How do you get all the parts to build a roadster ? And how much cheaper is it than just buying one ? Thanks Tim
We bought them from a Brookville Roadster dealer in Ontario, Canada. He would go to Brookville and buy up all their seconds. Sometimes he would buy good parts when seconds weren't available to complete a kit. We did 5 bodies like this and it works out to about 1/2 price not including my labour. Unfortunately the dealer is in his 80's now and isn't doing it anymore. Any Brookville dealer can get seconds when they are available.
Great to see some color that is not a shade of gray 👍
Boy do I love all ur videos...u and d camera lady are really a great two people team! I learn so so much from ur videos. Cheers from 92251...California border town with mexicali Mexico.
