  Lovely! Getting rarer now too - Manchester (UK) Airport had many like these in its Skylink terminal / train station connection walkway but they became disused through the Covid period and abandoned. KONE are now in the process of fully replacing the Manchester ones so they’re functional again. The first set are done. It would have been good if I could have filmed the originals but I am glad they are doing something rather than leaving them switched off forever. 🙂

  Thanks, glad you like it! :) In Munich there were plenty of travelators mainly O&Ks and Schindlers (and escalators as well) but I had no time to film them :) Munich International airport is huge.

  Oh nice, these are unusual! If you look closely at the design particularly round the handrail inlets, you’ll notice these were old Thyssen escalators similar to some of the others you’ve filmed here - and Otis must have done a complete overhaul of all the machinery while retaining the original look. Very interesting 👍

  Very nice old Thyssens! I like the retro-looking finish they have on them. I’d say these are from the late 70’s / early 80s but they have been maintained very well!

  Nice escalators. Also, I really like how a fair few of the big department stores in Germany have 2 up and 2 down escalators per floor. It’s more escalators for us to try, but also avoids a broken one ever causing problems! 😄

  Nice video. If you look really close at those Thyssen escalators, you’ll notice some are actually Rheinstahl (the ones with the smooth backed steps) and they’re slightly different to the newer Thyssens. I have a couple of videos to upload of similar ones too. The O&K’s are a favourite too - I just uploaded a video of some gold ones like them.

  Egyébként a délutáni időszakban, amikor kifelé van nagyobb forgalom, az Ecseri piacnál a Nagykőrösi út szervízútja gyakran bedugul, ahol a busz jobbra fordul a felüljáró alatt, ebbe az irányba is meg lehetne meglátásom szerint csinálni, hogy átmegy a felüljárón, és a Tesco-nál lejön, át az M5 felett a Szentlőrinci úton. A Nagykőrösi úton a McDonalds mellett a lámpás kereszteződés után is van egy buszmegálló, ahol ilyenkor meg tudna állni.
